I Finished High School Today

This is without a doubt the best feeling I've had in my entire life. I had my last final exam for my HSC (final high school exams in Australia) today, and now I have a four month holiday until University starts.

Wow. 13 years of school, over.

Maybe none of you are really interested in this, but I just can't get over how great it feels to have finally finished school.

And to make matters even better, my mum decided to buy me the HL2 silver package for studying so much, so in a couple of hours, once I finish loading it up I'll start my 24/7 playing of CSS.

Once again, WOW, I feel great.

I was also happy when I finished high school, because I hated that damn place. Schools are nothing but mind-f*cking torture chambers designed to crush people.

I hope high school isn't like they say as "The best time of my life"

Ahem....Yeah I had a great feeling when I left school. Its like, the end of an era. Its sad though, because for all I complained there are a lot of things I miss about school ;(
 
I left High School in the 10th grade... :p Yea yea..don't say anything...

Relish the moment, but only for a while. Life is going a change -- A LOT. There will be many wonderful aspects, but there will be many sucky aspects to off-set the wonderful ones. I remember when I graduated; sure, I was happy as hell, but to my dismay, adulthood was knockin' at my front door very, very hard.
 
Wow I guess I didn't lay the sarcasm on enough. I was just joking, God the people around here are probably more inbred then your whole state.

WTH? I still have 117 school days left till I graduate. School only started like 10 weeks ago-at least for us.

How does the school year work for you guys down under?

Heh, if any of you are doing any work at some point in the next four months, try to think of me, because chances are I'm either in bed or on the couch watching TV. :D

Well look at it this way. They have just entered summer...or they are at least towards the end of Spring. So really, its like we do it in the north where we have summer break. When I left school, I left really early because I had no more exams.

Exactly. Here in Australia, because the seasons are opposite to yours in Europe/America etc. school starts in Febuary and ends around December.
 
Year 12 in S.A. are had their last day celebrations today. Oh well I have 2 more years of Highschool to go after this one.

high school is definetly not the "golden years" i have much more fun going to casinos and blowing all my money then getting piss drunk in my hotel room in vegas.. now that my friends are the golden years.

I should have been more specific. Public schooling is financed by what I stated. There are, however, private schools and other 'special enrollment' schools that require financing from the parents.

But yeah, otherwise public schooling is tax payer and government's money.
 
Here there are three sorts: The public; totally free. The private no 1: Gets money from the goverment, so totally free. The private no 2: The goverments money aren't enough, so you might perhaps pay for the books yourself, but the food and education are free.
 
I'm a sophmore in high school. I don't want school to end yet. I have a lot of friends that I never see during the summer, so I can't imagine seeing them when shool is out for good. Everyone will go to a different college at a different time. :(
 
You finished High school..High school is like a fake reality...welcome to the real world...your not safe anymore like you were in High school cause now you have to do real WORK to get any farther in life. Life after High school sucks in some aspects but is fairly good in others. Here's a tip...if you wanna go to college...MAKE SURE you choose the career that will suit you the most...Think about that real hard because now...you will be spending alot of money to get a life and it might take you 3 or more years to make up your mind about a career but that's how it should be...don't rush and make sure what you choose for a life is what you absolutly really want....cause it's hard to change it after you chose it.
