Really? I really enjoy PA, I think some of the humour in that is awesome. CAD is also pretty good.

That's funny, because I sure don't see the exact same copy pasted face in that GIF. All the faces have different sizes and shapes of the mouth, nose, eyes, and head. He doesn't copy paste them.

Though he does use the same templates for one character, I'm guessing. And why shouldn't he? It's called being smart. Who even cares? All he needs to establish is that a character is talking.

Notice this guy also reliably churns out one comic a day, which is pretty damn impressive.

CAD was the first and last comic I ever picked up, and I've since realised it's not that funny most of the time, but I still read it because I've grown to like the characters and I enjoy the story arcs to a degree.
 
CAD is almost never truly funny, but on those rare occasions when it is, I enjoy it a lot. Like this one:

What do you want him to do, have a new mouth shape every damn time someone talks? Shall we start with a rectangle and work our way through the polygons? I seriously have no idea what everyone is so riled up about.

I dunno, a lot of the time the ridiculous expressions in PA have upped the lul factor. If the art didn't add anything to the process, stick figures or no, it'd just be text.
 
Well unless you're blind the characters don't always have 8^u for a face.

I find most of the material funny. There is enough character development to make them different enough.

He uses the same character templates because in professional cartooning you do too. Go watch your favorite series of Anime and I assure you they reuse entire scenes in addition to character templates.

He's also making more money than you.

Expressions are used when they need to be used. It would just look cartoony and cheesy and stupid if everyone's expression was exxagerated, just so you OCD patients can stop obsessing over it. What is normal about having a different face every time I talk to someone? Why should my mouth be looking any differently? And I already pointed out that every characters has a non-copy pasted face, it's slightly different, just like real humans.

Well it doesn't matter what you think, *I* find it funny, and enough apparently are fans for him to be able to live off his sales in stuff.

You know what bothers me the most? Games aren't considered art, and yet the word has been mentioned roughly 58 times in a thread about THIS.

The CAD one uses a completely different joke (several jokes, actually) It's not plagarism at all. In my opinion the CAD one is just as funny, if not funnier.

I don't know who plagiarized who, or if there was any plagiarism at all.

The Penny arcade strip makes a joke. The CAD one takes the same thing and hammers it in with the obligatory gay jokes and pointlessly long dialogue.
