I guess I'm a "newbie"

Pretty pathetic word, but I'm new none the less so I guess I fall under the category. How did that word start anyways? It just sounds more stupid coming from the person who says it, than the person they are saying it too. But anyways yep just another hyped up fan for hl2 ready to shoot my mouth off and get into arguements over pointless crap that in the long run doesn't even matter! Alright!

I think the word newbie came from "new blood", which was a military term for new recruits.. it would seem to be it got shortened to "newb" and then someone added "ie", and thus we have "newbie"!

Of course, this is all speculation.. anyway, welcome to the forums
