i had a dream about HL2

just wanted to share this with people other than my friends, who would call me a nerd for it... heh

last night i had a dream where i was snooping around valve's ftp server and came across hl2demo.exe. apparently i just happened upon it right after they uploaded it and right before they were going to announce it's release. anyway i got it... it was only 9 MB btw, which i thought was strange. but it installed and i started playing it and was totally unimpressed with it. for some reason it was in a 3rd person perspective and Gordon had a huge head and flailing arms and big hands. the rest looked good, but i was baffled at Valve's decision to make gordon look like an idiot. anyway i was all excited to be the first person to post and announce the existence of the demo, but i woke up... or had another dream, or something. don't remember the rest. dreaming about a release? i'm pathetic.

Sometimes when im really bored, i carve a picture of Gordon into my arm....Maybe i shouldn't have said that.


Really though, ive dreamt about Hl2 before. Although it was more to do with playing it and being in it at the same time. It was quite weird.

Though I hate to admit it, I had a dream about HL2 t'other day as well. I (that is me - not as Gordon) was in a cave with a small pond that had a few Combine soldiers in it and one or two Antlions. I had a crossbow and was shooting them - the Antlions died easily as did one or two Combine fellas, but the other ones that I shot in the head just got annoyed and bitched at me. I fell into the pond and saw a Hydra, got quite scared and it turned orange and came towards me really quickly and flung me out of the water. I ran out of the cave and there was this kind of desert island scene and a small volcano - it was all very technicolour. Then I saw a few logs roll down the side of the volcano (I may have thought at that point: Oooh, aren't the physics good...) in a Swiss Family Robinson stylee. Then, running and jumping over the logs were Gordon and Alyx, closely followed by the G-Man... Weirdly enough, they were followed by (there were still lots of rolling logs) a tribe of stereotypical tribal cannibal type folks, but quite blocky (in terms of graphics). I can remember thinking: Oh no, I really don't like the direction Valve has taken this game...

I had that dream where I traveled to 2009.. had some really cool technology in the future, nothing really advanced, just the natural progression expected
I tried to find a release date for HL2, but no luck. I went to PHL, and they had screenshots from HL2 (HL3?), but I couldn't for the life of me find what the release date was

I was to travel back and time and tell you all, but then I woke up.. the screens were cool, though. It was like CS' nightvision, only it was a shader of sorts, more like heat vision.. and the shot was looking at combine

I spoke with Dr. Breen in that weird Matrix Arcithect room. the G-man & Gordon saved me in the end!!! Anyways, our convo was mostly illogical without a massive background - about a girl, but in a complex "Arquitectish" kinda way - imagine - "Greetings"- him "WHO THE **** ARE YOU???" "Do not release adrenalin yet. I am not here to injure you phisically".... all you need to know is that it was the weirdest dream ever

I never dreamt about hl2, i havent got anything to go by, ive only seen a few screenshots and one movie. Im not really caught up in the hl2 "buzz".

However something really sad: I dreamt that i was playing diablo 2 with my hardcore character online ( where if you die your character is deleted and you have to start again completely) and my level 60 character died. I though oh SHI* but then realised that it was a dream, or rather a nightmare ;(. Ive had many of those dreams..

Most people dream about dying IRL, or a loved one dying, etc.. Tony dreams about his DII character dying

I had one last night... It started out as a HL2 demo. I downloaded it installed it, and started playing it. It quikcly changed from me playing it, to me being Gordon. I was in a junkyard (the result of playing too many UT2004 junkyard maps probibly), and I had a crowbar. It was apparently like a secret base of operations for the C17 rebels. Well along my way I came across a zombie, and dealt with it. After it was dead I impaled it on my crowbar, and sneaked up on this lady who was a part of the resistance. I then took the corpse, and flug it at the lady. She was scared at first, but then she took the zombie, flung it over her shoulder and startted petting it. *end of dream*

well i had a dream that a hamburger was eating ME! i have had halflife2 release date dreams, those are fun. and i hate the dreams where you're yanking your teeth out with pliers, or knocking them out with a hammer, or biting down so hard that you're breaking your teeth, and then when you wake up, you have to check that your teeth are there, and some are missing, and then you wake up for real and all your teeth are there, and not loose. :|

i had one along time ago, but now i dont really remember it. I was on one of those trams and for some reason it was rigged up on a track on some planet that kinda looked like earth but with highly saturated colors. I had to shoot some tanks and stuff but all i remember is hitting my head on the top bunk because i woke up really fast when the tank's missle hit me.
