Yeah you can get skype on it, but it comes with GoogleTalk on it, which is pretty good for VoIP. I had a chat with my brother from sofa to sofa, 770 to 770 (other end of the country)

It's not a phone, it doesnt support GSP/GPRS/etc ... its just a wireless internet tablet ... if you need to connect outside of a wifi coverage, you can bluetooth a mobile phone and use the 3G / GPRS through that.

3 or 4 years ago I had an XDA2 which is basically a PDA crossbred with a phone (yes, an iPhone lol) ... and I installed Skype on that, basically because it was so much cheaper using skypeout than using it as a phone to make the calls, and the sound quality was about the same.
