I hate being arachnaphobic.

I'd do that, but then my luck, it would bite me, and I would die because I'm deathly allergic... :(

I dunno if I am allergic to anything yet....20 years of my life, and nothing yet..maybe I'm safe?

nope, there is definatly somethign out there to get you

I had the exact same thing happen to me while playing on the computer the other night. Little spider threads his way down from the air vent and dangles in front of my screen. I have to say though... perfume wasn't the first thing that came to mind.

I kept one eye on that vent for days afterwards.

On a related note, a roach once crawled out from under my Guild Wars quick reference guide while I was killing huge insects in the game. I tried to cast flare on it, but it didn't work...

Spiders are awesome things :D They can be a little creepy but they can't hurt you (well the ones in this country can't) and they're interesting to watch

Hmmmm, ya...the ones here like to kill me:(

The biggest spider I've ever seen in my house was about the size of my thumbnail, including it's legs. I'll cry if I ever saw one of those spiders the size of my hand.

Has anyone seen one of those potato bugs? They look like gigantinormous ants and they scare the **** out of me.

my cousin was outside playing with his dog when he had to go to the back of his dads shed to get the frezbie that his dog missed, he said that he felt a bite or something but to little to make a big deal about, after a day or two he woke up and the bite had swollen to a pretty decent size, a few more days after that the swelling had disappered (his arm was normal again), well when he looked to his left (right arm was biten) hundreds of little spiders were running around everywhere...and he couldnt remember anything after that because he fainted

Seconded. Thankfully, England doesn't really have poisonous spiders, so I've never reall developed a fear of them. The most awesome spider-related moment of my life was watching a tiny spider administer a smackdown on an entangled wasp. Seriously, it was like it handed it its ass on a plate.

Now that I think of it, I hate all insects.

Their legs, the way they move and everything...ugh...*shudders*

I was sitting down in Costa Rica drinking a pop.
I finished, and my brother asked for it and told me to say still and not to look behind me. So... of course I looked behind me and saw a spider before he bashed it. It almost webbed my neck entirely, I freaked out. I'm very arachnaphobic.
Its the same species and size as this spider. Or... atleast they looked the same.

heh funny timing for this thread. my roomates had the pest control guy come today. he found 9 black widows and a huge wolf spider around our house. he showed me the wolf spider and this wolf spider was borderline tarantula looking, had never seen one that big in california. now if that crawled into my mouth when i asleep i think id choke to death

When I was about 5 a wolf spider that was tarantula sized was crawling on my wall next to my bed when I was sleeping. I woke up and heard a noise and it turns out the noise was it slowly walking down the wall. I jumped out of bed and ran into my living room and told my parents. They were all like wtf you're not afraid of spider. Then I was like no shit but you gotta see this one. They went in there and were like holy shit. It was promptly killed.

The average person will unknowingly consume 8 spiders in their sleep when they crawl into your mouth. At least that's what my snapple cap says.
