There's so many f*cking games coming out, and I don't have enough time for'em all!

Things aren't made better by the fact one of'em is an MMO but I don't feel like paying 15 USD a month for a game I might play maybe 10 hours a month max!

I know this is totally random but I had to get it out of my system!

How do hardcore gamers find time for casual games on their consoles and MMOs on the PC at the same time?

Not to mention afford it!

I hear ya. I'm playing Aion right now (as an officer to make matters worse). I've been chugging through Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2 is on it's way here.

Over the years looking at how much I've spent and how many games I have bought and either don't want any more or have played only once, I have came to the idea of renting games alot more.

I am largely fine without owning a metric **** ton of movies on dvd (cos after all most movies are only ever watched a couple of times) so I'm now renting alot more games instead of plopping 40 quid at a time.

Of course if you are primarily a pc gamer then the above doesn't help at all :|

Wow, mind making a list of these great games? I haven't seen a game worth buying in years. I'm beyond disappointed about it.

I like collecting things too.

I collect all the free handmade Visual Pinball tables, things like that. In fact I'm making my own, which is a pretty obsessive activity.

Doesn't this happen every year around this time?

Last year it was L4D, Fallout 3, COD:WAW, Fable 2 all at the same time. COD was meh, but i missed out on fallout and fable becuase i just didnt have time to buy them!

Wow I feel like a douche. I bought every single one of those games right when they came out.

Reason I spend money on games is because I like OWNING them!*OCD*

yeah I used to be like that but basically one day I woke up and thought:

Why do I own crysis or fear 2? They're both ****.

and it fell on from that. I feel my collection is better now having only the games that I really appreciate and not just ones I want to play through the once.

After I realized I can't even start let alone finish all the games in my collection, I've decided I want to become a Collector of some sorts. Better to have than not to have I guess

Same.

Doing it now too, got all upcoming games pre-ordered that I want, Borderlands, Forza 3, Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2, SC:Conviction and more.

I've got AC2, L4D2 and MW2 per ordered and I'll wait for AC and LBP on PSP.

I'm buying a PS3 next week with three games on top of buying 4 games last month and I have a few left to buy for the PC before the end of the year. But I have to money to afford them, so life is ****ing great for me hahah!

Honestly, this. Maybe I'm getting old. The only games I currently have on my list of "Things to eventually buy... maybe, someday" are more than 3 years old.

I could buy them all on every platform, but i'd still be playing them in 2 years time.

For around 4 months a played nothing but L4D and TF2.

Coming up this year is Forza 3, L4D2, COD:MW2.

Life's great for me too, currently got 1700 USD saved up on my bank account, awaiting another 900 at the end of the month. Being handicapped and unemployed rules when there's an global economic crisis!*Sarcasm*

Though then again I don't actually have 900 USD to do whatever I want to with, I have bills to pay, food and room and clothes, but I usually get at least around 400-500 USD left each month after I've paid my bills and so forth, which isn't too bad imo.

It's time that's the problem for me, not the money, I got over 50(fully legal I might add) retail 360 games in my collection, I've only played through around 15-20 of'em.

And new games I want to play keep coming out faster than I can finish'em!

Gargantou has come forth from another dimension of time. What year are you from? 2013? 2024?

Surely you're not referring to 2009?

is it sad I'm just now playing F3? and I just played/beat Bioshock last month?

cod:waw was meh for me too but the MP grows on you brahim.

Luckily both MMO's I've tried recently (Champions Online and Aion) ultimately sucked so all I've got on the docket for this year is Dragon Age. Otherwise, I'll be replaying some old console RPG's I never got around to like Final Fantasy X and XII.

Oh no! My life is so hard! There's more great computer games to play than I have time to play! What a crappy year!

Jesus ****ing Christ. I thought this was gonna be a thread for people commiserating about losing their jobs in the recession.

I wish I could abuse the system and get free money for games...

CoD6, L4D2 and MAG are only the ones I'm looking forward to soon.

Left 4 Dead 2 is about the only big game that will come out this year that I'm interested in.

Grow up and learn not to make statements about things which you have no idea about. I never said I use all those money for games. I have to use'em for clothes, to pay the rent etc too, rent and food amounts to around 250 USD each month for me since I live with my parent still.

Anyway, back on topic, AC2 does look good.

Oh and DiSTuRbEd, MW2 isn't CoD6, CoD6 is a completely different title that hasn't been unveiled yet.

MMO's suck IMO, which is pretty good for me, because I have a lot more time.

That makes no sense, not like an MMO requires you to play anymore than any other game. Not like Blizzard comes to your house and stamps on your testicles in high heels until you hit 80.

Your parents charge you rent? Rent from their unemployed, handicapped son?

I offered to pay myself, I'm 19, my father died a while back so it's just my mother and me, and I feel I want to pull my straw in the sack, at least since I'm not studying now but doing an internship and have a decent income.

It's only fair IMO.

The working title for MW2 was CoD6, it has the CoD moniker back in the name and it is the sixth game in the CoD series.
This game is CoD6.

Bah, I could argue it's like CoD9 or 10 if I include the console-exclusive CoDs :p

How many hours have you put into your favorite MMO?

His point is that there's no obligation or magical force that compels you to play even though you don't have the time.

I barely played the game when I was signed up, just got a character to 80 and quit.

Chances are if you waste tons of time on WoW and let it cut into your life so much that the same would happen with any other game that you play.

Indeed you could, but none of them where called that during development. Modern Warefare 2 was.
