Supreme Commander has a decent singleplayer storyline, providing you can run the game decently.

Same with Call of Duty 4, pretty deep storyline for a CoD game.
It's relatively short though, but it has some of the sweetest moments in any game I've played this year.

I've heard nothing but good things about Company of Heroes as far as RTS go (will by buying on Steam shortly). If you want an RPG and your machine can handle it The Witcher is pretty good (miles better than Oblivion).
