Yes, it's bad....

I was just reading my favorite gamesite in some other language and they were saying that HL2 is delayed till the last second last month of the year... November.

They are saying it is a nifty marketing trick to create a bigger hype on HL2. Several buysites changing the release date to November... November. It's hasn't officialy confirmed yet but it looks that we have to wait 2 months more. :'(

First of all, you said the last month of the year is september and then you said it was november which one is it!

Also the last month of the year is December.

and im not going to trust anything if it didn't come out of gabes mouth.
 
i heard lots of things a few sites are saying next year some say december some say september WE JUST DONT KNOW!
 
Some other guy just told me that you shouldn't believe any source besides Valve. zelfs niet gamer.nl

Pff, so what... It would be better that it will be released in the christmas holidays! Gives you time to discover the game, and your schoolwork won't suffer! AAAAnd, it gives you more time to upgrade your PC...

Edit || AAaaand, in christmas time, there are always cheaper prices for everything, including PC hardware =)

Sadly I only read the TV guide and as a result I have missed most of my favourite programs.


Gamesites and shops (EB or otherwise) know as much as we do. ANY date they say is an attempt to make you think they know something and spend money. Ignore them and stop filling the forum with tat, in dutch or any other language.

Hey, this one is official (I contacted Valve and Vivendi and asked): Its been delayed to 12th of January.

See how easy it is? :p

Every body calm down we have been waiting for hl2 since the day we finished the first one.
We were even waiting for the game when we didnt know it was in development.
So... one or two months delay is fine with me if it comes out in Spt 30 th better if not.
i cant wait
 
ebgames.com shows hl2 as coming out in november, personally I don't really care "too much" since there are other good games coming out or are already out. As long as it comes out before december I dont think I will pull out too much hair, lord knows I want to keep it as long as i can :(

Actually, a newer mail from Vivendi claimed it to be moved up to a release date of 24th april 1996. I dont know, but SOMETHING is fishy about it, I just cant put my finger on it...

that was the point of my thread. all these delay threads are just rumors. lets wait for an official word.

oh sorry i forgot the news just in. offical word from gabe himself. "when its done" did i make that up? or did i not? time will tell ;)
