[Opinion]

I was in Best Buy. What beautiful music it was...but the more I listened the more I realized it was coming from my pocket. What I pulled out was the very $50.00 bill I had long since betroved to the purchase of HL2. I had made a sacred vow to that fifty dollar bill that I would be true to it and consecrate it to the Valve. But as I walked through Best Buy, the fifty sang to me, said I could release it from my vow, and consecrate it to titles such as something called "Deaux 3" (something like that" or another called "DoD" ( I think) and then there was the box with "Doom III" on the cover, pre order only, of course.

So how about you guys? Is there a particular title which would quiet your demons for a few months until HL2 comes out? Discuss.

OK, between Homeworld and call of duty, what is your current fav? I played the call of duty demo, and it was a big let down, all scripted, enemies seem to be reproducing in a never ending stream.

I bought Broken Sword 3. I want to get XIII and a few others too.

I finaly beat MoH and just started Spearhead. I plan to buy breakthrough and Call of Duty here shortly.

Half Life 2 has become the game to me that it originaly was. I have no idea what the hell is going on or where it stands, but if it comes out, if, I will pick it up eventually.

I did not see it as off topic...the question goes to what titles come a close second place, or serve as substitutes until the real deal comes out.

Face it, the only way to stay "on topic" is to bitch about where is the damn game! I didnt' want to do that.

Anyway, yeah I found Call of Duty to be a hell of alot more fun that Homeworld 2. After you finish the amazing SP the online play is second to none.

How do you like Broken Sword 3? Let me know...might pick it up as well.

I've personally picked up quite a few titles to calm my nerves...they include: Prince of Persia (X-Box), Project Gotham 2 (X-Box), Call of Duty (fun but definately another Q3 engine-clone...not much substance, not much realism, still a good time...and gives you that warm feeling), Horizons (MMORPG...if I can get the subscription started it should be a good time), Deus Ex 2 (Has it's perks and disadvantages), Homeworld 2 (too hard, and too easy...all at the same time), Max Payne 2 (hell of a lot of fun, good story, too short) and finally Airport Tycoon 3.

Sadly...I'm desperately seeking another game to play. Waiting for Full Spectrum Warrior in February, and that will probably hold me off until Half-Life and Doom come out.

If I made a topic saying "Half-Life 2 is cool, what are you playing at the moment", just because I mentioned HL2 doesn't mean it's a Half-Life 2 discussion. That's pretty much what this is. You don't want to talk about HL2's weather effects, the videos, the new Rick Ellis interview - you want to discuss what other games we're playing and would recommend at the moment.

Broken Sword 3 is good and I enjoyed it. It falls down on a few areas. You'll only get 10 hours of gameplay out of it and the puzzles could have been more imaginative (there's a lot of good ones, but the majority of them are puzzles where you just have to push and pull crates around).

Plus I got a few of the new Halo action figures, an Elite and MC, I can't wait untill series 3 comes out with Marines!

well max payne2 shocked me with its astonishing ragdoll physics system, everytime I play the game I do diffrent action to test and see who bodies can fly and objects bounce against each other. on the other hand GTAVC this game had me over A year now because I just like to be the bad boy killing and do the illegel things that I cannot do in real life. Lastly, online game such as CS1.5 and Quake3 made me pro at other games they are my foundation of moving shoting controling...etc. without them I could still be Noob at any game, that why I ve been 4 years now playing these games none stop.

Quite excellent games, indeed.
Too bad KOTOR - Xbox doesn't have Multiplay...I still haven't played the PC Version, but vowed long ago to buy the Xbox version, after renting it on it's release date.

diablo 2 LOD and CS still hold me over.....it has gotten pretty boring but ive only gotta go a few more months till i get some games that have some nice replay value, although i do rent alot of games so its not like im playing those 2 exsclusivly

Thanks for the review. Probably won't pick it up then. Looking for something that takes up a little more time.

I spent my $50 on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (PC), worth every penny! I also bought Homeworld 2 the week it came out, it was good while it lasted but to me, it has little replay value.

I bought gas so I could drive my car.

I had 300 dollers set aside for HaloPC, UT2k4, and Half Life 2.

every dime and alot besides went to gas or food.

bummer.
