This waiting is starting to make me mad. I mean, VALVe has to announce something very soon or else alot people are gonna be unhappy. They have not said anything about the guy at ATI that said they interviewed VALVe some weeks ago and said that it is gonna go GOLD this week, right? They are just completely quiet. What are they waiting for? :hmph: I hope that they understand that people are going mad because of all this... What's up over there anyway?? Have they all been assimilated by some evil DOOM3 organisation?:borg:That is quite an unlikely thought but still... I know stuff like this has been posted before but it is going to be said again and again and again. An official press-release has to draw near, or else people will go genoicidal... So please someone, take us out of the dark... ;(

I mean, somebody has to know anything useful...

Jeez, it must be really tough having waited since August this year. I really feel for ya man

Has it occured to you that he may after been waiting since it was announced, yet only signed up on these forums in August? His join date doesn't determine how long he has been looking forward to the game. I've been waiting since it was announced, and I joined this forum about 4-5 months later. You're being unfair.

Actully I found a nice way to pass the waithing time, and to cheer myself up after the fake gold msg. - and its even free !

It might not be for everybody, but if you can answer yes to these questions, I think it will cheer you up:

Did you ever play online games?

Did you ever encounter imature players with a rotten atitude and a foul mouth, ruining the fun for everybody else ?

Can you admit to having atleast a tiny bit of a mean streak in your character ?

If yes, then try my new "cheer up" & "anti-stress" solution (it might not be news to many of your guys, but since I see a lot of other new ppl around here, I guess it will be news to some)

On the Steam.network forums, you will find two sub-forums, "VAC" (Valves Anti Cheat System) and the "Steam Support/Help" in these forums, you will be re-aquainted with the imature, rotten attitude, foul mouthed players from before... only this time they are not here to bragg, cheat and insult.
No NO, they are here to cry their little eyes out, and tell traumatic tales of injustice, adventures of amazing coincidences, ghastly cases of mistaken identities, all leaving them, the poor victim with account and cd.keys banned for one to five years :)

Heres a few to get you started:

My rights as a US citizen:
http://www.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=133492

Cheater in severe distress:
http://www.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=132939

I want "my" money back!:
http://www.steampowered.com/forums/...30279&perpage=15&highlight=fraud&pagenumber=2

Cheater vs. cheater:
http://www.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=124180

And the best part is, they keep rolling in - all of them thinking that they can fix this, than no one really is gonna hold them on cheating, hacking, creditcard-frauding or warez-distribution.

Hope it cheers you up :)

HAHA! Wicked. That certainly killed some boredom. Go Valve!

I'd say the odds are I'm right. If you are really, really into a game then it seems just plain logical that you would sign up to the biggest community for that game as soon as possible. Of course there are exceptions, such as yourself, but judging from this little brat's post, I'm inclined to think he didn't even know about HL2 two months ago, and now he's here to whine because the last six weeks have been oh so hard.

For the record, I was one of the first to sign up on these boards, but my first account was banned after my brother got onto it and started pissing people off. Obviously the mods didn't believe that story :dozey:

You're assuming, and therefore you're being unfair because you simply don't know. I'm the exception? This person could very well be an exception as well. Can you disprove this? No. Can I? No. We can only assume. You're using your own assumptions to back up a flame.

HL2 isn't the only game I'm "really, really" into, but I don't always sign up to fan sites or official message boards for the game because of it. Again, to simply assume things about someone with no real basis for such assumptions besides your own beliefs about certain people (i.e. people who complain about a game after two months from singing up to the message board) is unfair, and is no reason to flame.
