I just got back from hospital today...

...after an operation (done yesterday) to have my lower jaw brought forward to make a more natural bite pattern (part of my ongoing orthodontic treatment).

The swelling should go down in a few days but every time I see myself in a mirror, I'd crack up if it wasn't so painful

They said that they could do that too. My first reaction, and I said it to her, "you can do that?!? " I decided against it though and instead got my wisdoms removed. My face looks the same way too and I got college on Sep 9th, lol.

The novelty kinda wore off for me last night though. I think there's something about the medication that sent me onto a bit of a ****ed up mindtrip. I was brushing my teeth for the first time since the op and it occurred to me that I felt like a completely different person - my appearance was different, the taste of food was different and my odour was different (my farts smell unnervingly sweet now lol). And I was feeling scared and paranoid about myself as I turned off the lights off to go to bed, so I put the compy back on and put some music on to try and sleep to. Picked underworld's Dubnobasswithmyheadman thinking it was quite chilled out and relaxing but then in my altered state I got really hooked into the songs and started extracting meanings out of the lyrics like never before. Some bleak shit in there I tell you! I eventually drift off into a semiconscious sleep and it was as though my personality split into both female and male parts aware of each other, and I was thinking as both at the same time. I woke up itching my legs thinking that someone had given me a secret extra shot of something without me knowning (similar to claire in Lost). Was proper ****ed up.

I got my braces off yesterday, after nearly two years. Which is great, as uni starts tomorrow.
