I just got my video card.

Ok, I got my video card in the mail, its a sapphire 9600XT and it isbulk, so it had no box, but it also didnt come with a manual...I am wondering how would I go about installing this?

oh oh you're screwed!!!

actually it's quite easy just snap it in and connect molex wires, but I'll let some of our more knowledgable members fill you in

oh and dont forget to uninstall drivers before you pull out your old card

Before you uninstall your new video card.

1) Download these drivers if you have Windows XP on your computer
2) Uninstall the drivers for your card. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> find you video card drivers and software and uninstall.
3) Restart your computer
4) Run and follow driver cleaner instructions. This will help prevent any conflicts when installing a new graphics card.
5) Turn off your computer
6) Install you new video card. Be sure to plug in the molex power connector if it requires one.
7) Turn on your computer. Click cancel if it wants to install new drivers.
8) When windows has booted up install the drivers you had downloaded earlier.
9) You are all done.

The ati website has the manuals for all its cards, look there and print it off.
