congrats chris_D

I'll be starting driving lessons next year - is driving easy as in 90% to pass test first time!? :borg:
Overall, whether it's your first, second or ninth time you're taking your test, they only pass 40% of people. That means you have a 60% chance of failing :|

Crusheh, it took 3 years because between the age of 17-18 I had no money for lessons :)

Yeah, but the test does consist of questions such as:

"You see an elderly person crossing the road, not at a designated crossing. Do you:

A) Accelerate up to the elderly person.
B) Stop to let the elderly person cross while revving the engine.
C) Beep your horn to hurry the person across the road.
D) Wait patiently for the person to finish crossing the road."

I remember the days of learning to drive all that time ago... well, three years when I was like 17. The legal driving age is 17 isn't it? I can't even remember.

I failed my Theory first time and passed the second time. The Hazard Perception thing came in just as I signed up for the second test. :|

I then failed my driving test the first time as well thanks to a serious mistake at a Zebra crossing. Was only like 500 metres away from the test centre when that happened. I knew I had failed then. :(

But I took it again and passed second time. :D

Congrats, BTW.

Passed on my second attempt - so happy :D

excellent, so what type of car are you going to buy ? (sport, taxi, mini van, scooter)

:)

Something that costs less than £1000 and is cheap to insure. Like a Ford Fiesta.

I blew the engine back in the late 80's ...couldnt afford a car like that now cuz I'd have to take out a second mortgage to pay for gas

it did have it's perks ..the back seat was like a full sized couch :naughty:

I passed my test about 4 years ago, it was good to get it out of the way.

I haven't bought a car myself yet, but now that I've got a job, that's one of my main priorities (I hate the bus so much).

Yeah, I just got my G1 on wednesday. I can tell the manual transmission on my dad's car is going to take a bit of getting used to. No biggie though.

It's a bloody fantastic feeling when the bloke turns and tells you "I'm pleased to say congratulations, you've passed."

:D
ROFL

You should take the driving test/anything to do with the DMV in America(or maybe its just new york). EVERYONE is a big time prick for no reason and would never say that lol.
