I met an Islamofacist

Aye, it's from Goya.

Anyway, when it comes to quoting forum signatures, you can't do better than Mechagodzilla.

Can the condescending crap.

It's nothing about sticking your head in the sand.

Everyone knows about Islamofacists.

It's just that you don't normally see them introducing themselves to you as you walk down the street and being quite open about their views.

I think he's entitled to be shocked, it doesn't sound like he meets extremists everyday.

If you're not shocked by meeting people face-to-face who openly want to kill their fellow humans in a suicide bomb attack, then you've got something wrong with you.

Your not used to see them as you walk down the street because you live in the UK, and thats one big head in the sand.

something wrong with me ? well, I've smelled there work after some fanatic a*sh*le blew himself at Jerusalem city center. Smell of flesh by the way.

Now how's condescending ? "...introducing themselves to you as you walk down the street..." , You are pathetic. Open your f***ing eyes.

Why are you telling me that I have my head stuck in the sand? I haven't told you anything about myself. I'm justifying another person's response to this, in reply to your aggressive attack.

You are making a lot of unfounded presumptions about me, considering I haven't told you anything about myself.

Reading comprehension FTW. I said something would be wrong with someone who is not shocked by meeting someone who is willing to kill another person. I was justifying someone's reaction to that.

Now how's condescending ? "...introducing themselves to you as you walk down the street..." , You are pathetic. Open your f***ing eyes.

And what's with the ad-hominem attacks? I find your posts rather jumpy and hard to understand. You seem to be rather angry and willing to attack anyone who argues against you rather than engage in rational logical discussion.

I have sympathy with normal Israeli people's life, but people like you make it hard for me to sympathise further.

You should do yourself a favour and try to make people understand you, rather than rant at people who are "shocked" or "have their heads buried in the sand" (whatever that means).

I can't bury my head in the sand because Brighton Beach is all pebbles.

I tried at a sandpit but the kids chased me off. :(

Eh said:

Ah, so we shouldn't be shocked even though we don't see it very often?

I don't think becoming jaded about evil people in the world is something to boast about. Nor is expecting every second person you meet to be a vocal proponent of an insane ideology.

I live in a part of East London close to mosques which received notoriety for their pro-terror clerics. It's not uncommon to see militant islam fliers stuck to lamp-posts around here. Living in the UK is not 'one big head in the sand'.

Yeah, I saw East London... that is one shitty place to live. It's basically not "yours" anymore.

Get used to it. They'd never win a conventional war against the west -- so there war is instead with its policies. Change the policies, change the country. All of which are won through threats and guile.

I have criticized Islam on international radio so it was quite shocking to hear someone who I have exchanged a few words with and see almost every day would potentially kill me if he knew what I had said?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, "Yep."

Get ready for it.

You know what? you're right

First of all let me thank you for the informative/unprovocative response (and I'm not being cynical)

There are allot of responses around here in the Manner of ' There is no sand in Brighton Beach ' ...

I know that generalization is a bi**h - "..the European, the Americans, the Irish, the Israelis.. " etc. etc.
I think it would be a 'bit' hypocritical to deny the use of generalizations.

We get allot of crap from the righteous voices of Europe and the UK in particular.
I know there is allot of ignorance involved but also allot of hatred.

So hearing another 'shocked user' doesn't add much to the balance of the equation.
I think that allot westerners don't weigh much the importance of religious heritage & religious believers.
For the average Muslim (again generalization) I'm just another Jewish crusader( and you are probably just another Cristian crusader).
I don't even believe in a god.

Well..I'm splashing all over the place.
Just wanted to say that you are right I was generalizing and generalization is a bi**h.
