At first I didn't really understand. I mean - just don't visit the forum if you have more important things to do.

But - at over 4000 posts, i can only assume that the only way to keep yourself from spending too much time on this forum was to do something so drastic.

Thats pretty dumb, its like saying "Hey i'm quitting WoW" but on a website instead of WoW... Its not like youre addicted to it or anything, and its not as if you sit there all day on this website. Unless I am wrong, i'm just proving a point here. Cya anyway.

Nah its just that how he describes seems kind-of awkward, if he's anything like me, he'll come here once a week or something, rather than not come at all. Its just hard to think that he'll stop coming all together.

Especially if you are a procrastinator with a bazillion very important things that you have to do. Like me.

thats the reason people make a goodbye thread, so they can put "invisible mode" on and come back to see who said goodbye to them.

And then eventually come back.

The only people who really leave are those who don't make goodbye threads. I don't even think this is User Name / joule's first goodbye thread. The only dude who left who really left with a goodbye thread is Shuzer.
 
Exactly, if you really are going to leave, you just do, To destroy the temptation to return, you must not leave anything (like a goodbye thread) to entice you to return
 
I'm not sure if I should find these goodbye threads pathetic or hilarious. :D I'll go for both.
