I'd rather keep an original thread open than an overdone story thread. Noone complained about the picture one besides riomhaire, who is apparantly miffed because he got his story thread closed in the past.

It's quite a common attitude. Remember how that one guy who got his post count reset kept complaining whenever someone posted about his/her postcount, but didn't get reset?

I don't agree.

Mainly because whereas a picture thread is mnore original, rather more fun, and does not go ridiculous. People post pictures. Someone else does. More pictures. Meanwhile story threads end up with '...and then Gordon got out his PENIS and....'

I don't really mind, just that the picture thread was a bit of good fun. I can't be bother fighting the rules, they are good ones...

But.
I saw a forum, somewhere in which one of the sections was just for word games and story threads like "Picture Pwned" but any posts there didn't go towards your post count.
I know post counts isn't the reason why it was shut down but would the above idea solve the problem?
