I want a new game....
Maybe an RPG, I don't care if it's online or offline.
I don't want it hack and slash, yet it can't be...err "This is a boring attack system".
A nice deep story and a good economy.

Good luck, not many RPG's come out these days. I enjoyed the Dungeon Siege series. Neverwinter Nights is good to. I would wait for The Witcher and Neverwinter Nights 2. :)

Who ever said he wanted a new game? If you want RPGs go to the freakin' SNES.

Or go to the freakin' DOS, lots of good ol' games on there, Ultima..
I especially recommend Darklands if you're prepared to use DOSBox, incredibly open-ended and deep RPG with a very deep character generation system.:D
It doesn't really have the deepest story though but it's fun and addictive none the less imo..
Then there's always Daggerfall but the story in that is very MEH but it's also fun and addictive.:p

Didn't you say Blizzard is your favorite developer/publisher? Go play WoW. Have they put the weather effects in yet? I've been inactive for months, but I will play again sometime after they finish that.

WarCraft 3: TFT has mini-RPG elements built on RTS with the heroes...

But from the sound of things, X3: Reunion sounds right for you. I'm not too sure about the story but from what I read, the gameplay and possibilities are endless.

Some of the highlights from the top of my head:
Pirate other space ships
Buying and owning space stations
Buying and owning entire Fleetes at your command
Compete dynamic market that includes actual market principles (prices wiill fluctuate according to what happens.)
Something ridiculous like 500 ships with different properties, handling, etc.
A big ass galaxy
Completely free-form gameplay if you desire, or you can focus on missions.
Graphic's are top notch (patches made it less taxin IIRC)
And more! I recently read the reviews and this is what I remember off the top of my head, I haven't started playing it yet (but I will soon...) so I can't give you my firsthand account but everything about it is pretty positive. I think the recent patches have fixed the myriad of problem's its had and the reviews may not be updated on it.

X3 Reunion is great, but then again I'm a huge fan of all space games, having played X1, X2, X3, Elite, Frontier Elite 2, Frontier First Encounters.
An important thing if you wanna play X3 is too have ALOT and I mean ALOT of patience and you HAVE to really read the manual and the forum guides to get a grasp of what to do, how to etc.:p
