Im stuck. I can't get past a part near the start when you go in the water and there is a life which is off. I dont know what to do at that part. I pressed all the buttons and turned all the turny things i could find and still nothing. do i have to do something with the falling creates? Or is there a way to get past the spinning things in the water to get to the ladder?

Here are some screen shots of the area im at.

PLEASE HELP MEH!

oh yea, i had trouble there a long time ago too. beat it though. sorry can't help you

You have to get the explosives box into the water. The turbines blow it up and one turbine is pretty much gone so you can pass by.

You push it. I don't remember where but there is a button to lower the lift that is nearby the area you took your first screenshot (comes down on an angle) and there will be a steel box with explosives written on it, just walk/push it to the edge with the wooden boxes, and say goodbye to it.

The turbines spinning in the water will explode, and you are granted passage.

Yeh i found it after an hour running around. I h8 it when its easy but you just miss something, I didnt see that ladder to get up to where the create was. After that it was easy.

Well finished blue shift now. It was good. Just as good as half life just shorter.

Yeah thats Blue Shift short but brilliant... and btw am I the only one who liked the ending?

Yeah from when you went down into the abondened base it rocked.

In fact the whole game is amazing, its got me into the Half Life 1 obessesion again im playing OF just now then onto Half Life again

Happened to me 3 time while playing BS on differnt ocasions. Honestly I got stuck at the same f*cking bit 3 times.

The puzzles in BS are actually quite clever as HL puzzles go... makes it a shame that I practically blitzed said puzzles in five seconds. Not sure how I figured them out so quick - must be subconcious recollections of when I played it a year or two ago.

Considering how i've played HL and OP4 to death, i've only played BS three times. I actually couldn't remember most of the places I went too, which makes a change :)

Hope for a PC version of Decay, 3rd Party or otherwise, one day soon...

Yeah, the ending was sweet. Gordon and Adrian were basically imprisoned by the G-Man at the end of their games, but good ol' Barney is able to drive off into the sunset with fellow Black Mesa colleagues!

I liked the bits in the railway yards- easy but very fun- i love it when you open up on the grunts coming through that big door.;

It's all a bit cheesy though. After Rosenberg says "We did it Calhoun! We actually did it!" i'm half expecting him to come over and snog me.

"I love you Doctor Rosenberg!"

Oh, come on. HL needed 1 truely happy ending.

I just beat BS today, only played a little bit at a time. Well, I found this yesterday (shown in the picture). I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it. I love Easter eggs like that in games.

(I forgot which part it was at, let me load up the game and try finding it again. Brb...)

Wow. Luckily I had a save right there.
Well, it's right after you take Dr. Rosenberg into the elevator that was behind the wall you had to break down. It's the first room where there's a bunch of the vents broken down and stuff. You can climb up on one of the vent shafts, and see into it, and there's the picture of someone. Probably one of the game developers.

If you want to get to the place fast, just type 'map ba_teleport1' in the console

yeah, i've never noticed, how does barney find about city17 then?
(i haven't played HL2 yet, i need to change my computer)

EDIT: oh and you think BS was hard? i finished HL, Op4, and BS in 4 days, total, without sound. (my computer's sound card doen't work, broken i guess...)

ps: but i have played them b4 so i don't think it's anything cool.

Gearbox and their easter eggs:rolleyes:

I liked it how Dr. Robotnik was actually different to the other scientists. I was looking around for an Einstein or something.

I found him pretty easy. The "Egg-shaped flying vehicle with brown wrecking ball" motif was a dead giveaway.
