Explain your problem again for the third time in as much detail as possbile, please.

ok

ok this is what happens

i have fully updated hl2 and css, they r both at 100% and steam tells me that they are both ready to play offline, but when i try to play hl2 it comes up with the preparing to play half life 2 screen then switches to small window thats titled "steam-error".
in this window it tell me that "this game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time" i have no idea why it does this and any help will be greatly received.

Steam servers are busy? Have you Validated the game files yet?

what do u mean have i validated them? ive done all the unlocking of files and updating stuff but i dont think ive seen anything about validating how do i do it? please?

It should do it automatically. Have you emailed steamsupport?

very stupid question but i want to get it right

erm.......whats the email address?

I think is hd space lack problem. Try freeing some hd space, at least 200Mb. I had a similar problem and freeing 250Mbs made it.

Good Luck, steam problems are mystical ones. Noone know the exact solution :P

ok ill try that thanks buddy
but........please stay close as it may not work imay need more help

hang on ive got 86.8 gb of free meory on my c drive so that cant be it?
anymore soloutions/ideas?

As I posted in your other thread, people are fixing that by shutting off steam and restarting it.

Hope this works.

Just shutting steam of and restarting it.

Just simply by clicking on the little Steam icon and choosing "exit". Then clicking on a Steam program to start it up again.

Try it and see if that helps, as it helped other people.

that didnt work

anything else guys?

IM D.E.S.P.E.R.A.T.E!

I'll have a look around to see if I can find anything. A lot of people have the same problem.

I tried browsing the steam "knowledge base", but I didn't find anything interesting :( Didn't try browsing the forums though.
