I need help!

Okay guys, heres the run down...

I currently live at home, in rather impoverished conditions, and I really, REALLY, just have to get out of this place for personal reasons. My friends offered me to move in with them in a pretty nice house, closer to work.

The trouble is, with my insurance, gas, and cary payment, along with the rent and my food expenses, I won't really have any money to do anything with. But I really don't know what to do. I need some advice, what do you guys think?

If it's for a better living situation, I'd say go for it. I'd do ANYTHING to get out of the house I'm living in currently.

get a better paying job, or take out some loans get a degree then get a better paying job. Or rob your friend's house blind and go to Cuba or something

lol Well if I move in i'm going to have to get a second job, so thats going to suck, but i'll have a little more money that way.. But i can't decide how to play it

You may not like this idea but it would solve your problem. Join the Military. You don't have to go into the infantry, or any other job that would put you in harms way. They will teach you everything you need to know. Whether you want to do contruction, anything with comps, well heck, most any job in the real world they have something that relates. Also boot camps is pretty easy for the Air Force or even the Navy, army and marines being hardest. They give you free food, free place to live. You can get a car and the insurance and gas is a LOT cheaper. You can also take correspondance courses(free college). Really, talk to a recruiter...there are tons of benefits to being in the military and most jobs you will never even see or be put in harms way during a war.

believe me, i've thought about it, especially joining the coast guard, but in the end, its to drastic of a commitment for me right now. I don't feel like i've exhausted all of my options.

BUT:

I've made my mind up, i'm moving this weekend, no regrets. And I would make a silly goodbye thread like so many before me, but alas i'm not well known or cool enough around here to bother so I'll just say goodbye in this thread.

Seeing as how where I am moving i will not have a computer or the money to get one for a long while. So bye everybody, wish me luck! I'll miss all the info i get from this place And if I gots time, I'll stop by.

that's a tough choice ..it's really tough to save money when you're paying rent. You should have at least 1st and last month saved before you move ..and that same amount in savings in case something happens. You're best bet would be to get a shared accomodation (your friends have offered you an opportunity but just remember that living with someone can spoil your friendship). Also wouldnt hurt if you got a better paying job with more security and the promise of pay increases etc ...living on your own is really hard but as long as you make enough that you're not living pay to pay cheque you should be alright ...try to save as much as possible (ideally you should save at least an hour's worth of pay a day)
