Ok first i read multiple times that HL2 and Doom3 are going to be for Xbox well should i get a Xbox and the two games or buy this new comp gaming rig thats ASUS motherbard (dont know which one but i heard its the latest)
ATI Radeon 9800 pro 256 mb ddr and Audigy sound card. this rig is goign to be $1500 w/ out Keybaord, mouse and speakers well is it worth it 1500 w/ out keyboard mouse and speakers.

ur opinions are greatly apreciated im prolly going to pick the opposite of what u guys say but ur popinion still help lol. j/k

i have no idea of the case i was on the phone about to place the order on the comp but they told me it would be mostly clear

Office is a program suite that includes word/excel/access/powerpoint etc.
Office 2002, Office XP are different versions.

Windows XP Office? eh

OS choices are Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro.

Clear cases are OK and good if you wanna show off your case.
But they get dusty fast, not because they actually take in more dust but because they are clear and you see everything.
Clear cases only look good when wires are organized, usually lit up and no scratches/dust. Somewhat hard to take care of or at least a bother to most people.

Sorta fragile, at least not as stable as metal cases.
Could always get steal/aluminum case and put in or get one with a window.

i want to say thx for all u guys help im going to get the cmputer and suggest a steel case i selected the comp cuz i know there goign to be more computer i would wanna play and plus i know there will be HL2 mods and i would like o play those so once again thank you for ur help.

Definitely get a computer over an XBOX...that's a no brainer. Computers will last longer for you because they can be upgraded, they're just better than consoles and you'll want a PC for future games. On the downside it takes more knowledge to maintain a computer, and it's more expensive. but you are getting what you pay for, which is superior gaming hardware. And i think it may be too late but i suggest going against buying a prebuilt PC...you can get the same parts off online stores like Newegg.com or mwave.com and build it yourself for cheaper. Although it is easier to just have someone else build it for you.
