What is the ID SNIPER rifle?

It is used to implant a GPS-microchip in the body of a human being, using a high powered sniper rifle as the long distance injector. The microchip will enter the body and stay there, causing no internal damage, and only a very small amount of physical pain to the target. It will feel like a mosquito-bite lasting a fraction of a second. At the same time a digital camcorder with a zoom-lense fitted within the scope will take a high-resolution picture of the target. This picture will be stored on a memory card for later image-analysis.

Why use the ID SNIPER rifle?

As the urban battlefield grows more complex and intense, new ways of managing and controlling crowds are needed. The attention of the media changes the rules of the game. Sometimes it is difficult to engage the enemy in the streets without causing damage to the all important image of the state. Instead EMPIRE NORTH suggests to mark and identify a suspicious subject on a safe distance, enabeling the national law enforcement agency to keep track on the target through a satellite in the weeks to come.

the future does not look to good to me...

Wow. Surely if the sniper rifle were that high-powered, it would feel like more than a mosquito bite.

Like getting hit with a brick.Maybe it deploys tiny parachutes to slow itself down before impact?

Yeah, that looks like it would hurt if it were going, say a couple of thousand FPS. Looks slightly bigger than a mosquitos mouth, too.

Causes no internal damage? Can you imagine a headshot with one of those things? Oh valve, I have a new weapon idea...

actually, if the GPS is really small, it wont hurt that much. also if the GPS has some kind of sharp end, it's entrance will be easy.

Id rather be accidently hit by that instead of it hitting the target than accidently being hit by a bullet...In a crowd situation that is.

Huh? I got as far as 'accidentally'.

Seriously, I bet everyone would rather a GPS than a bullet, i'm just saying I think people would notice being hit by it.

I don't see what the big deal is with this........

you to assasinate your target at a later, less crowded, and less public date.

That's what it should say.

I was saying that in a crowd of people, if some government people were trying to target one person but they accidentally hit me, i would rather it be that than a bullet. I was saying it because it seems people dont like the idea of this gps thing.

Surely someone hit by it would remove it as soon as possible? It must be a little disconcerting to know that someone could have a rifle pointed at you...

Ahhhh, now I understand. Good point. I just don't see that anyone would leave a tracking device implanted in themselves long enough for whoever wanted them dead to track them to another location.

I call $10 on shenanigans! Those software screens are SO stupid.
lol, this is definitely not real.. I like how the picture of the gun is a 3d render.

its not like they would know it's there ;)

I like how the software screen shows a catholic priest in the sights, but lists him as an islamic terrorist. :)

They dont actually have anything yet becuae they have no money.

They are looking for venture capital or a DARPA contract. The "picture of our future produce" thing is how it goes with most startups.

I couldn't resist. :)

I had to cut it into three parts, to fit the size restrictions, so make sure you read them in order.

I totally want one, id put these suckers in all my neighbors and keep track of what they do

Most people won't know about them so they won't know it is a tracking device if they are hit by one, they probably won't even think anything of it if it is just a little sting.

And here I thought I was gonna see pics of John Carmack shooting people with a scoped rifle... :( i'm disappointed.

compatible on platforms:
UNIX, SunOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Linux, WINDOWS 3.11/95/98/ME/2000/XP, Mac OS 7.0/8.0/9.0/X

lol 3.11, its funny how the tracking software says 'registerd version' oh!!! lets download the rifle and crack it!

Same. This is so immoral there's no way they'd have a bloody website on it. It's like the CIA posting their "To do" list on their site every day:

04/20/04: Topple democratically elected Latin American Socialist government. It's bound to turn out good, right? Right?

Of course it's an invasion of privacy - I'm not sure I can think of one much larger (outside of 1984, that is). Absolute lunacy.
