Sorry mods for posting this thread here, I really couldn't find anywhere for it. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where people can post their ideas and what they would like to see in the game, especially with the new great engine. I come up with ideas all the time, but I don't know how to put them in game, hope this comes in handy for all you l337 coders and modellers.
1. I'd like to see movable obstacles in the game, like a few random crates that could be moved into the way of oncoming terrorists or something, to slow em down. Of course they could be broken but it's just to slow em down.
2. New ways of completing the objectives. If all the T's are dead, then instead of defusing bombs, the CT could try to rush bomb back to the T base, or cover it up with a stockpile of garbage and metal sheets taken from specific spots of lvls.
3. More interactive lvls'. Like, you could shoot parts of bridges and they would be collapsable to certain extents, but even after they are broken and hanging down, they could leap off ledges to try to climb up it like a ladder, or just go to the ground and climb up. Destructible (to an extent) levels. Certain bricks could be blown out of places to make the other team fall through, or rubble could fall down making the other team have to climb over.
4. Certain levels would load and give values to each of the players, like store_value "password" off, and the players could either try to crack the password inside the console, or you could make them try to get to certain points and access computers and try to get the value changed or something, but after it's turned on, there could be certain doors that only open if your computer get_value "password" if "password" = "on" open door or some crap like that?
5. I definatly think we need larger maps, this is the main thing Counter-Strike was missing if it was missing anything. Errrr, which reminds me, I work at Food Lion, and was wanting to try to make a map of it, kinda like wal-mart, but this one wouldn't suck. The store is kinda huge, is it a good idea to be using a lot of poly's and stuff for making like... all different shelves that are on the aisles and just trying to make it realistic, or should I just gay it all up and make a block with a skin of cereal on it ?
6. Well, since this is the future, some of that junk like models and stuff really need to be upgraded. ICHI, MODEL A FREAKING NINJA GI. JOE MODEL *drools AND PUT UR OWNING FUTURISTIC GUNS UP FOR DL TO USE IN GAME.
