I'm in no way proposing an unban, just to make sure everyone understands that.
 
When I say take the forum too seriously, I mean people flipping the **** out when someone messes around with the forum itself, not the people themselves.

Not me arguing to shit out of everything with other people ^_^ I just like to do it, and it makes me feel good that I'm defending Ikerous because he deserves it.

Everybody knows I have the capacity of a nuclear missle when it comes to defending what I believe in.

Um, and yes, what I meant by flipping out is that they automatically assumed his intentions were evil when he's never done an evil thing on this forum before. That just doesn't make sense to me.
 
He may be odd, but he's not evil.

I mean he just got married ffs. He's a nice guy. If you don't believe me just go talk to him sometime. Get your own proof here.
 
If you read the Forum Rules, it even mentions: You agree that when using a message board, you will not access a forum members account without permission or impersonate any user.

I don't think a moderator's ruling over a ban should be discussed or disputed. Their word is final. Though, Vegeta, it's nice to see you defending him, there's no real point to. Don't speak for him. Let him do that. Oh, he can't? Well, that's on him.

And lol don't worry Cave, my words tend to be harsher than my real feelings, if the term "ffs" made it look harsh don't worry. That wasn't directed at you specifically either.
 
If everyone keeps pestering veggieburger about this he's going to make some sort of rant thread about Ikerous, it'll get locked and there will be sechs all over.

I'm conservative with my thread-making, and plus I've said everything I've wanted to in this thread, no point in restating it.

May not be a big deal to you Joule but it just seems wrong to me. He can't speak for himself so I feel sort of obligated to, at least for a bit.

It won't last outside of tonight, don't worry. Unless it's brought up again of course, in which case I'll probably just link to this thread.

I'm also teaching some logic on the side here. I mean if you use logic you'll see he's not evil. So if I can prove this perhaps people will think more rationally next time rather than just believing whatever nonsense they read first.

Don't see what's wrong with feeling that obligation. I don't care if someone finds it annoying that I care, that's their own fault, I'm going to try to save as many people from the wrong as I can, and I believe I've done a good job so far.
 
Assuming Ikerous didn't **** around with the PM's, the very act he committed - by itself - is a severe violation of trust. That's regardless of wether or not he's just kidding around. If you pick the lock to my house and walk around inside while I'm sleeping just for jokes, I can guarantee you that I'm not going to be happy. And no, I'm not comparing severity. But the underlying principle is the same.

Nobody likes their shit toyed around with. That extends to people's accounts. It's a shame, because I actually liked Ikerous. He was a funny guy. But he crossed the line big time, and I won't hold it against people if they think less of him.

Nobody's saying he's evil. People are saying he acted like a twat, which he certainly did. Your "logic" is addressing an argument that doesn't really exist.
 
Ikerous may be a good guy. But, he ventured to do something he wasn't supposed to do. Just like what the forum rules explains, his ban is justified.
 
Considering that he lied to people that "he didn't do it", why should people trust what he says now or what he tells you. :O
Also tampering and abusing personal accounts/the forums doesn't exactly scream respect...

I'm not saying he should be respected for what he did. If I had the choice of changing his past of course I would make him not do what he did. I like him here on the forums and it did cause a big image problem for him. It's terrible.

He does deserve the ban, I say for the 15th time. I'm just trying to do what I can to save his image.

Absinthe, I can see your view. If my posts haven't convinced some people to give him another chance then I'll leave them be.
 
Ok, Ikerous was a cow humping, CyberPitz Loving, wierd ass person who got banned for hacking the site, I don't think you can save his image, it's been broken, and I mean completely smashed and thrown into fire.
 
Well that's just plain false, there are plenty of people who still like him. His forum persona is different from who he actually is.
 
Hey, hey, hey I never said I didn't like him, I said his image was messed up. I already told you, I'm neutral towards Ikerous. I didn't interact with him much.
 
Just trying to teach a lesson here.

Think thinks through yourself and listen to facts, put two and two together. You don't even have to believe my own information to do that, most of you have seen Ikerous on these forums, he's never been hostile.
 
Vegeta, you attempting to use logic to justify a matter which was obviously born from an uncontrollable want to do wrong is simply ridiculous. What he did was breach the trust of his own friends, he did this knowingly, he knew that there would be consequences and he obviously didn't want to accept punishment. Not only did he do a crime against his own, but he also denied it, to say that anything will clear his image is unthinkable. That is like to say criminals have another face, in the face of punishment their label is of but two: guilty or innocent.
He is capable of Fraud, and you try to use deductive reasoning to clear it. It isn't a rule that he is nice anymore, it simply isn't. He's just a man, everyone knows that, but don't attempt to put him above that because I am sure no one here will want to put him below it.
To conclude, you simply cannot be a saint for 364 days in a year and then commit a crime which does not affect your image, in the face of society you are wrong and that is all, just leave it be and let it rest.

Just reflects on who his company was. It was a point of advice not an open discussion. It's wrong and that's it, what more is there here to see? I don't think any community wants to mourn their suffering all day long.
By the way, next time we have a chat, id prefer you speak as you were taught not make up cute ways to seem intelligent in front of your peers.

Here's my crazy controversial theory. I'll kick it off and call it "Theory 1". Maybe Idonno is really Ikerous's 2nd ID. While, under Ikerous... he effed with the site and got banned... while his other ID "Idonno" is still active. He wins, he has a 2nd, much different persona under Idonno... BUT, is still on HL2.net. Throwing in some bogus marriage mumbo jumbo into the mix.

The proof that we have is a couple of IM logs where Ikerous freely admits to reading specific people's PMs. I'm not going to post that log mainly out of deference to the people that provided it (who may not want to have their identities revealed) but also because you're dumb. What motive would I have for making it up?

I love the way you trivialise what he did. If someone else hijacked your account, read your PMs and changed some of your profile, you'd be the first person to go bleating to the moderators.
