IE Bashers Read This

With that attitude we'd all be still in a cave staring at the marvel of fire.
Well, fire IS pretty...and screw you! I love my Civic!

IE works good, well it's decent, but why use a good browser when you can use a much better browser?

Tr0n, your argument basically is "FF sucks because I don't use the features"? 'Kay.

Come back to me when you can still browse efficiently when you have at least 5 Word documents open, 15 browser windows (the amount of tabs I sometimes have) and programs like Hammer, Steam and Winamp. ;)
Besides, you can't control the taskbar with middlemouse.
Winamp and Steam are in the SysTray. ;)

Again taskbar...and again most people don't have that MANY windows or apps open.

So AGAIN why have features you won't use in the first place.

If you have 15 browsers open, windows puts em all into one task.. then you can select the window from there.

And i dont use the middle button in ff
And i miss being able to alt-tab to the other window
Although all in one gestures is helpful

Oh, and i HATE that you cant move the bars around
On the top, in ie i have all of em on the same row
I like it nice and slim...

Ooooh! Man, if I was a moth...I'd be burned up in a second. I'd be flyin' into candles left and right. Anyhoo, I don't wanna turn this into some sort of philisophical debate...but is the world really that much better off with all of our new technologies?

Hl2. Yes.

Why don't we all just use the AOL browser?

Not me. There wouldn't be a single ****in' wildebeest left on the veldt with me around... I would be soaked in the blood of my wildebeest foes.

Get back on topic please.
Yes mummy :(

This exploit is retarded because its impossible to do any direct damage with it, unlike the IE exploits.
Plus IE had this same exploit a few months ago...

*qckbeam gets back on the topic

Oh you like that don't you? Don't you dirty boy?!

Admit it, qck. You quit being a mod just so you could say crap like that again.

Anyhoo, I haven't had any problems with IE so far, and I don't need any cool new features, so I'm straight for now.

Come on guys, let's all use IE v. 3 or something if you don't need the features.

QFT for both statements. :D

oh come on, IE still rocks, stop bashing IE.

Pretty soon, the exploiters will start.... uh.. exploiting FF.

Who makes expoits? Geeks.
What is the must-have browser for any "geek"? FireFox.

You'll need to wait for a retarded script kiddie hoard before FF gets properly targeted like the Microsofts IE.. I mean, microsoft is the perfect target for every person who thinks they're '1337'.

It's because Microsoft is teh evil.

I'm still gonna stick with IE untill safari comes out for the pc.

Geeks don't make exploits, Geeks are smart enough to realise people that make exploits get tracked down and put behind bars, where they have no choice but to be some balding ex-boxing uberchavdaddehs bitch.

Exploits are made by wannabe-haxors that steal code from astalavista archives and adapt it to use an exploit they read about on geek forums. They get tracked down anyway, pretty soon there'll be no script kiddys left to create exploits.

Well, those are the types who think its "cool" and it makes you a real "haxor" to bash MS products anyway.. or maybe the majority for greatest impact, also IE.

Ah dear Steve. No man can navigate the immeasurably convoluted maze of random emotions and desires that is my heart as well as you.

Whoa, wait, you mean 'Internet Exploder' and 'Firefox' aren't just what we like to call our AOL? :O

The more people that get FF, the more of a target it will become. There are holes to be exploited, theres no multi-billion dollar company monitoring and patching though is there...

Maybe if it went open source that would help?

But its open source.. so theres far more room for patching/working on it... bugs are found quickly but "white hat" "hackers" (by which i mean geeks desperate for a little good attention and plenty of time on their hands) of which there are alot.. just look at sourceforge or slashdot etc..

Yea but since it is open source wouldn't all the hackers be able to exploit it more?

Tr0n said:

but the exploits can be fixed by anyone.. and they're there for all to see.. most were fixed early on and you dont need to wait for the beauracracy of MS to swing into action like with IE.
Also, plenty of coders can sit and poke at the inefficient parts, getting it all fixed up.. people notice the problems, unlike IE which probably has parts of MS Paint and Calculator embeded in it for some reason.

Exploits only come about when a hacker see's something noone else has noticed.. which is alot harder with open source.

I dont see why people say IE is so full of exploits...

Someone find me one site that takes advantage of IE to run a program on my comp and ill be impressed.

Ok...then why don't the guys at Redmond just make IE open source or use some other browser?

OT:Noticed you bearly use any smileys in your post...Stressed out from being a super mod?

MS wont make IE open source because thats the way MS does business.. you'll have to ask one of their execs about that.

And yes... I must use more emoticons :p

hmmm.. firefox crashes on me a lot. maybe because i modified the source :-/

Firefox never once crashed for me and I modified it with the pipelining exploit (?) to make it faster.

Once again you and me are the only ones defending IE.
