Valve is just torturing us. It's like chinese water torture. Your being denied the such a simple and easy to get commodity.

For those who don't know (chinese water torture is a being tied down in the blazing sun and have a bucket of water drip on your forhead. You have to sit there and dehydrate while water drips just on your head but never reaches your mouth. Dying slowly )

It's so close yet so far. That's why this situation is so horrible.

Easy cure, stop caring, its just a game, and not exactly the last word in technological achievement, or likely to be better than HL1 was. Sequels rarely are. HL1 wasn't expected to be great, everyone expects HL2 to be out of this world. Like they did the phantom menace. I think we can guess how the rest of this song goes so I'll leave it at that.

i agree nothing can beat Half Life 1. it didn;t have much hype and people loved it. HL2 will be an AMAZING game and it will be the only game to come close to HL1 however the amount of hype is jus too much...up2 a point where its impossible to live up2.

no, i woudn't say it's impossible to live up to the expectations. of course, they're high, very high, but if half life 2 will be really the bomb like valve say and will have great, varied levels, awesome, tense battles, fantastic created enemies etc. and playing with the physics will be actually that fun and motivating.. well.. than i come to a point, where i can say: it absolutely fulfilled my expectations.

and all the things, i've seen and read about hl2 so far, indicate that this will be the case.. at least, that's true for me.

I hope he's reading and knows that we are angry that they missed another date. Maybe sometime in the next 20 years they'll learn how to make a good release date estimate.
