I was about to say that I'd believe it, but then I remembered that the Combine have a supression field.

Gordon would most certainly develop a morphine addiction because of his HEV suit's constant administering of said substance.

People would torture captured overwatch just for sheer enjoyment... there would be rebel and overwatch heads on stakes around Combine and rebel encampments.

I think the supression field makes people infertile, so I think they could still have sex, just not reproduce. People play jokes using dead headcrabs and pretend to be a zombie, then be prompty shot in the head by their mates.

one thought is that Gordon would kill himself or go insane, i mean cmon, i dont want to sound "depressed" or anything. But, how could you go through the horrors of Black Mesa. Ravenholm, or Nova Scotia without becoming either of the two? Also, i believe anybody could last that long, he would be eventually be killed at Black Mesa, City 17, or be captured by the Combine.

Morphine addiction is possible to be sure - but, a lot harder than people think. It also seems to have some genetic predisposition factors. I suffer from cluster migraines, have my whole life. I take pain killers when i need them, and then may not for 2 or 3 years until I have them again. Other people take the same pain killers, once for a toothache, and become addicts. Weird huh?

I would say this, that if Barney gave me a crowbar to fight the combine with, the only thing I would have done is climbed up the wall and beaten him with it. For the love of God, at least give a man half a chance and hand over your pistol man!

Gordon will become schitzophrenic and think that he is the HEV suit lady as well as himself. He'll begin to suffer depression and live at a pub talking to himself and injecting himself with morphine.

Gordon would've required major surgery and years of physical rehabilitation rather than just morphine and first aid kits within the first few hours. I don't care how protective that HEV is.

More realistic is that he would probably have been zombified and killed.
