Ballsaccio said:LOL!!! You guys should get brand new cars and let them sit in your driveways until you are ALLOWED to be handed the keys!
You have given up parking space for no apparent reason.
Amazing.
Lost my hl cd-key before steam... there was a while on steam were you could use keygened cd keys...OPF cd keys just don't work, if you have original HL cdkey you get opf and all that with that cd key.Doofus said:Xac, if you have a steam account made with the CDKey you don't need the CDKey anymore... and opf will work, but since you say it doesn't you've probably already registered it.

Ownzed said:Ok...we're talking Hard Drive space and HL2 not cars and driveways...
Plus once the game is released you will have to take up just as much space on your hard drive anyway. So you can either get the cars now or later, unless you are going to be short on hard drive space from whatever amount of porn you decide to download (Or if you just have a small hard drive) then there really isn't going to be any harm done.Pressure said:Look at it this way. Let's say 1 gig = 1 car. If it is like this than I have 4 cars in a driveway that can fit 120. Including Windows and other games I think I have plenty of room to put other stuff.
That is assuming the HL2 files take up 4 gigs like he said. I haven't really look but I think it's only 2 gigs, which does even less damage.
Ballsaccio said:Can you burn it and pass it around to all your friends? Then someday they might get a magic key and play the game. Or they could walk into Best Buy and pick one up on release day. I did it with DOOM3.
Bobcat said:Is it possible for people who have purchased Half-Life 2 through Steam, to create backup CDs/DVD so they won't have to go through downloading the whole thing again upon reinstallation?
On a related note, would it be legal, having purchased through Steam, to make a copy of a friends Half-Life 2 CDs/DVD, since you already own a license?
Yes. Yes.
The cache files (what you would be copying) are separate from authentication.
