what would you try to sound like......?
--------

i would try to mix Lamb of God.... with Perfect circle... and Tool [abviously], and killswitch Engage...

That would be one sick band.

Nine Inch Nails [abviously], N'sync, and the Sex Pistols

i'd try to be as original as tv on the radio. so i wouldn't sound like anything at all that's out there now

I'm already in two bands, one of which sounds like 80's bubblegum poprock and the other one like a creative fusion of Led Zepplin and Bob Dylan.

But if I were to make my own band, I would try to make them sound like Bush or Pearl Jam.

Probably a bit like Leftover Crack with some Strike Anywhere thrown in. But with thrash too.

Me and one of my friends were considering getting some decks and sythns and stuff and making some kind of weird IDM kinda thing with loadsa samples and oddness, but it never materialised.

I'm trying to get a solo thing going, something like a cross between Jeff Mangum and Bob Dylan. But I suck at guitar so it'll likely never become anything.

In Flames crossed with Chimaira crossed with 80's Metallica.

A Perfect Circle and Toto
Yah thats right, I said Toto

Whatever the **** we wanted to sound like.

That was one of the things I was going to post. But really I think I would never be in a band. I can not sing and I am probably even worse at playing any type of musical instrument. :monkee:

I'd sound like a mix of NIN, Radiohead, and Alexisonfire.

Seriously.

I'd sound like... me. I'd strive to be original.

But judging from what I already put out, I'd say I have flavors of Autechre, Aphex Twin, and Between Interval. Nothing intentional, but the similarities arise in my mind from time to time.

Pink Floyd meets Mos Def.

My... my... I think my head just exploded trying to imagine what they'd sound like.

I think I can top that, though. I'd try to sound like Cameo and Linkin Park.

grooooooving in my skin
this booty it will not shaaaake

I'd like to see surf rock and improvisational jazz, a full jazz band, and metal all mixed together (mostly instrumental - but occasionally mixed with some clean vocals).

I would go with something like Yellowcards "Ocean Avenue"...IE a heavier punk rock thats catchy.
