I would say I wanted some kind of cluster grenade......

I would want a weapon that you have to cheat to get, or maybe not, but here is what it does: Like, something that when you fire, it makes a point in space where you fired, and it is like a black hole, and sucks everything in! Just a simple gravity maker thingy.

Or a weapon that turns off gravity. :)

Oh and BTW, check out my new avatar! :imu:
 
A peace gun that fires flowers and makes headcrabs all hippie-ish. :bonce:

There is a weapon like that in the hit half-life 1 mod Scientist Slaughter House, its an rpg thats black.
Primary shoots a super-explosive rocket and secondary shoots a rocket that turns into a blackhole on impact.
 
One of those tazers that shoots its wires into people would be cool. Using the Source engine, they could easily make the limp body convulse while being shocked.

Ice Axe?..

Anyways, I don't really want anymore weapons at all... In fact, I would be happy with a Manipulator and Revolver alone because there's so many possibilities. Oh the Possibilities(R)!
 
At best, the only proper information would be glimpses of the weapons list in the top corner in one or two video's released.
 
I wanna take a variation of the blackhole idea mentioned, but make it so that it doesn't suck people into it... but instead sucks everything TO it like a magnet, then vanishes, causing all objects to fall in a great big heap. Follow that up with a grenade from a grenade launcher and you're talking great destruction!
 
:hmph: Remeber Turok: Dinosaur Hunter? The ultimate weapon- Chronoceptor, you like charge up the weapon it then blasts a beam then a bunch of energy forms and fuses in then blows up and everything in the blast radius freezes then blows up. Or Turok 2's Cerebral Bore weapon- it shoots a metallic-like bore that locks on to the enemy's heads and when it catches them, it drills into their skulls until their heads blow up.

Have you seen those electric like glowing blue dodgeball things that chase you around in one of the video's? How about we re-wire one to home in on enemies and attach some C4 to it?
 
Disc gun, energy ball gun, gun that makes you jump super high, tear gas grenade for Barney to munch on when he's wounded, parachute to jump off buildings and sail across the whole damn city!!!!!! (lolz I've changed my mind I like lots of weapons) :D

Me and my mate were talking about the weapons in HL2 the other day, and he said it would be cool if you got an ice pick, or you could punch with your hands, and I agreed. But I didn't think "hands" would be a good suggestion for a weapon.

Looks to me like Diablo 2...

And I want the gun that the Strider uses that blows shit up. I know we get the i-rifle, but I want that warping effect....
 
Yeah, I was hoping for that warping effect too, I heard someone say that the IR rifle was that gun that the striders have, but I don't think it is, personally. It seems to have a totally different effect.

It would have been cool to be able to attack things with the space warp. I wonder what would happen, in multiplayer, if several people shot those space warps in a nearby area, would it create some kind of interference pattern of space warping, or would the just overlap?

Maybe thats why they never have it that effect..

In one of the videos it shows him using this big gun that loads the rouds automatically, individually and then when he shoots it produces the same effect as the striders gun. There is a beam that shoots at them, it warps the surrounding area a bit and then the people tumble in slow motion with white fuzzy stuff! It's pretty awesome. So you say it's called an IR gun? What does IR stand for?
 
I don't remember exactly how it got the name "I-Rifle" or "IR Gun" so I don't know what it means, or whether that is its real name.

I'm going to have to watch the vids again to see that bit that you're talking about :)
 
On the weapons page of this website it mentions an Incendiary Rifle, I can only speculate thier matching the weapon from the video with that weapon. I dont' think that's it though, if it is the name doesn't seem to fit.
 
I would have to say a glow gun...that shoots the G-man and the eyes stare at you and then....you die because you melt and then X-rays radiate from your body....then everyone around you dies...because.....welll....just because.....so there! :E
 
a deployable sentry gun

lets say you knock one over without damaging it, i.e using the manipulator or blunt object. you could be allowed to pick it up and redeploy it elsewhere

Yeah, thats a cool idea, except would it shoot at combine soldiers, or does it only shoot at you? If it shot at anything that moved, you could just pick it up so its facing away from you, and run at a load of combine with it held up so it can mow them down.

That would be quality :D

Oh, and the HL2 rocket launcher is good enough for me, but I will not rest until I get a claw hammer.

Secondary fire is the claw end!
 
ive wanted to pick up a sentry with the manipulator and place it in a room with zombies for a while now.
 
I would like to have a weapon similar to the 'bloodgut' in SHOGO:MAD, fires 3 explosive missiles with a random trajectory. Its terrible for sniping but a laugh to fire a short range, no way anyone can dodge those twisting and curving things. The soundFX was nice and meaty too - a veritable roar of as each missle launched and a boom on impact.
 
Thankfully I looked at nobody elses ideas, that way no new weapons are ruined for me :D

I still like my idea of a sort of gravity gun that 'sucks' everything to a center point and then drops em all in a great heap for whatever way you wish to next dish out the carnage :-P That'd be fun to play with.
 
At least it keeps speculation down and expectations in check.....to a certain extent. The two most dangerous elements of over-hyping to unreachable levels.

If only people knew what Matrix Revolutions was going to be like :)
