If you could add one weapon, what would it be?

Oh, BTW, the gravity grenade is similar to an idea I've got for my own mod (I've posted it before), the Singularity Grenade. Sucks any loose objects towards it into a cluster, then the singularity destabilises and explodes.

we can all learn to mod our own weapons :). im sure I could sit and think up weird and wonderful ideas for weapons all day, with the power of 'SOURCE'. oh yeh. Im So, Exited!

as for the Ice axe / pick talk. thats a bit of a random weapon, kinda boring really. considering it would just be an Ice pick in your hands, all asthetic, .. you want new weapons with kool new particle effects. .. what about weapon that made people dance.. :D the weapon could play some hypnotic music. and the combine could respond to it with a programmed dance of some kind, lol

i want to see....a net gun with accompanying spike to get the buggers with. Could use great rag doll effects with constant impulses to make it look like they were struggling around in the net, then the stab would obviously sort them out, but it would look great.
 
Omg, it never creases to amaze me how old games look as time goes on. Its funny how when we play a game it looks so lifelike, but in actuality the graphics suck. Did you stop to realize some day the graphics of HL2 will look sucky to most of us? <gawks> It'll look so pixelated and stuff.
 
yeh its crazy I remember Turok looking awsome at one stage, lol. But I know its all relative, U3 has got the full treatment going at the moment though, I bet the whole gaming community cant wait to get their hands on that engine. :)

and you know valve are already working on there 2nd generation Source engine;), for HL3.. so its all good
 
I want a fragmentation grenade, but this time a real one, a big round bomb covered with small shards of metal :E
 
The freezing gun from Duke Nukem, oh yeah.

...and the "drill into enemy skull and explode brain" weapon from Turok.
 
A small, thermonuclear rocket launcher....the Redeemer :).
 
The British L85-A2 Assaut Rifle. The bulpup configuration would make for some cool reloading animations and the 30rnd mag of 5.56 and the 4x SUSAT would own.... :E
 
The Farsight from Perfect Dark.
There is also a gun almost exactly like it in a Star Trek DS9 episode.
Utilizes some kind of x-rayish thing to see through walls, coupled with a micro transporter to allow the bullet to show up immediately in front of it's target.

Oh, and I want 2 lightsabers AND the force ;)
 
The coolest gun would be like that Ripper from Unreal Tournament 1. The one that shoots those round razor blades that bounce perfectly off walls and ceilings. It owned MP so much. Nothing gave more pleasure than succeeding in bouncing a blade from some wall to cut an enemy neck from behind when you yourself were in front of the enemy :p
They actually have a little support for this, in that E³2004 demo where he uses those blades with the manipulator :b I'm gonna have a lot of fun with those (if I haven't died of age before the game is releasd..)
 
Dual Berretas, the Alien plasma pistol from Halo...
 
Gauss rifle from the Fallout series, that weapon really kicked ass.
 
Hmm... It had to be Remote Controlled Explosives (Detpacks) from HL1 in a upgraded version with the ability to: A) Be attached to any surface and B) Have an option to detonate one and one charge at a time.

Apperently it seems that i'm the only one who cared for this weapon in HL1, wich is too bad because it was one of the things i loved about HL1. All the tactical opurtunitys it offered to the player, hehe... some devious tactics in multiplayer i recall... somehow i get the feeling that we won't be seeing this weapon i HL2, wich is odd when thinking about all tactics involving the added physics-system and the manipulator :)

Oh well, one can just hope that someone will mod it in there at a later time.
 
The abillity to use any weapon for some kind of physical interaction, like being able to use your sniper as a club for a last resort :p
 
Ok stop posting weapons that you know are in the leak and trying to make yourself look cool.

I'd like to see a Gatling Gun, highly detailed and fully moving parts. Really awsome when there is a night fight going on and you'd see the bullets flying through the air, once a combine gets hit by it he'd continued to get dragged along with the bullets. Seeing thousands of shells fly in your face then land on the ground bouncing all over the place.
 
People saying "stop posting leak weapons" are the ones who basically spoiled it I guess.

I don't know which guns you are referrring to (never played it) but now I know that some of the ones I read in this thread are going to be in it. If you hadn't said "OMFG LEAK GUN!~@s" no one will even know. x.x. At least I don't know which ones though.
 
I want the pulse rifle from ALIENS. or a flame thrower.

forget the USP match. I want the glock back, but in High detail glory!

maybe some kind of sonic gun that has combine or xen specific resonances that forkes them up. like imagine them squirming with their hands on their heads, then you finish them off with another weapon or have it have some alternate fire that finishes them off or something.

Couldn't agree more. Some people really should think before they post. I was oblivious and perhaps those that posted 'leak' weapons were also oblivious. At least we know he has played the leak and is scum like them. :sniper:

First off I didn't say which weapons were in the leak, second you are in a Half-Life 2 forum so don't get all pissy when you find something out about Half-Life 2. Third, Scum?? Scum? Ohhhh Mr. Goodietooshoo don't act like you wouldn't play it if you even knew how to obtain it. Also do you know that about half the people on these forums have the leak? Oh look at me act all cool, I'll use the dumb smilies :cheers: :sniper: :burp: :x :rolleyes: :stare:

Oh boy... I loved the weapons in postal 2. I would love to wack some combine on the head with a shovel or pour gasoline on someone and light them up. Also from postal2 peeing on them would be funny though i doubt it would fit with the story line :E
 
I have leak, non of the guns that some people have been saying are from the leak! it bothers me because some of you think everyone who has the leak wants to be COOL.

and why do you guys think they are from the leak? have you played it?
