What would it be?

If you could somehow go back in time and give one sage piece of advice to yourself, when would it be and what exactly would you say to yourself?

I realize there's the potential for there to be emotional events you might not want to talk about concerning what you'd say, but I do encourage you guys to really hit home with the truth.

I plan on responding tomorrow when I've had a really good chance to think on what I'd say.

Quit being a dumbass. Simple as that for me.

I'm starting to get uber deja vu on this website...

Okay well... this isn't what I'd say, but it's what I want to say at this moment..

An hour ago, "Don't post that thread you're thinking of, because people aren't going to take it seriously. After all, it's HL2.net"

Theres nothing I can think of that is really of any significance, but I would have liked to avoid getting certain jobs. I left a good one at Sears for a shitty one at CompUSA.

"Try to be more motivated, chill out."

Those are two things I need to do. Badly.

Why can't we do any of this stuff now? We're control of our minds 100% if we want to. We should be able to just decide on doing something when we want to, shouldn't we?

Wat ?

I mean most of the stuff we are saying we wish we could change about ourselves is stuff we can change right now.

EDIT: Nevermind... that's off topic, not too sober tbh.

Take chances. Stop letting life pass you by. Don't be worried about failure because you'll have enough opportunities to succeed in life.

Another one is....
"Dude resist the urge to spit on the nice shiny car"

My stuff seems easy to do, but I find it very difficult to motivate myself (for example, for university), and with that I find it very very difficult to relax.

I'd also tell myself to stop freaking out about every little thing. But again, that's not gonna happen any time soon.

I TRY!

Actually, I figure most of who we are is just a result of whatever kind of childhood we had. How we were raised, etc, and chance.

But I wouldn't really stress it too much. It doesn't really matter so long as you're not miserable with who you are. If you're content, that's fine- happiness is a luxury, not something you can have all the time.

Good call.

Mid-Nineties: Get away from your dangerous idiot friends NOW instead of later, when they get you in trouble.

Invest every penny you can scrounge in the stock market, particularly dotcoms. Sell everything by the end of '99.

The lottery numbers are 12, 28, 34...

Edit: Guess that's 3 and not one. It's too intriguing a concept. Any one of those.

-Work hard at the START of your education, not later on when its too late.
-Dont miss any lessons because its just makes your life a lot harder in the future and you realise what you had done was a mistake.
-Start on large projects and revision for exams early, rather than late, will make your life a hell of lot easier.
-Dont let not having a girlfriend or anything like that get to you, the right person will appear in your life eventually.
-Always have a backup plan if things dont work out the way you planned.
-Dont get bogged down in one setback, setbacks are a part of life, just scavenge what is left and move on.

Don't take electronics, you stupid f*ck, take computer science it's what you're good at!

God I hate my life right now... -_-

Don't waste as much money and don't buy a wii!

(I'm going to get flamed so bad for that eep)
*holds up flameshield*

Nothing really, some things I would like to have changed but my life is currently running pretty good and I wouldn't want to change it

Procrastinating is bad. And should you do, dip your hand in molten tar. Every seem you feel like “putting something off” or “tomorrow, or next week”, dip your hand in molten tar, and then go and do it.

Don't be introverted to the point of causing a mental breakdown.
Rely on other peoples' advice, as many as possible, and come up with your own conclusions. Don't assume all you do is 100% right.
Don't fall into a deep conformism for six months while dropping out of high school and waste days and days watching TV, getting drunk, and repeating the same.

Be more confident
Shift your social circle quicker
Take up more offers from girls
Practise harder at guitar and make your band work gosh darn it

*dips hand in hot molten tar right now for procrastinating*

Get a shorter shave
Change those glasses for contacts already
Be more confident
Be more social
Have more self respect for yourself (making others have more respect for you)

I'm glad I'm a better person now.

"Don't get involved with that lady friend you've recently began talking to."

-Being conservative and insecure will get you nothing in life.
-Brush off any concept of morality that you've been taught and approach things objectively.
-Kiss her before she leaves the country...
edit:-Be more forward in all your relationships ...

i really hope my past self gets these :'(

You're right. I'm procrastinating some work right now, so I'll dip my hand in molten tar... nah, I'll do that tomorrow.
