New Team Fortress 2 Preview on IGN.com, a lot of new info about the classes. They talk about all the details and impressions on all nine classes.[br]

On the surface, the Engineer would seem like a boring class to play. After all, they are terrible combatants with weak short-range weapons at their disposal. But the Engineer turns out to be one of the most enjoyable classes to play in TF2.
As an Engineer you must think tactically, placing a turret, teleporter, or ammo dispenser in the most advantageous positions. The building of each device can be sped up by hammering the construct repeatedly with your wrench. Multiple Engineers assembling turrets together can prove incredibly effective. Turrets can be upgraded multiple times, evolving from standard machinegun to rocket launcher. Every enemy killed by your turret counts towards your stats, so while the Engineer is not much use in direct combat, you still enjoy the statistical spoils of war.

Ooh cool. Looks interesting.

EDIT: Holy ****. Can't wait! Looks like it's gonna blow the competition out of the water.

Interesting read and.. new screens are completely sex. More please! :)

Holy shit do those new screens look amazing. Love that one with the 2 engineers.

New video tomorrow on the orange box. Hopefully new ep2 footage.

Unless I'm mistaken there's motion blur in that third screen. Look at the Heavy's gun.

I haven't been so hyped for a game like this in a long time. I just can't wait to play as the Spy. Awesomes!

the Spy sounds fun! stealing health from enemy's Medic? ha! wearing a mask? ha!

Actually, I don't want to see any vidoes anymore. I didn't read the article that said "spoilers" either, it's just too much info and it's still so long time until the release. There has been just so many reviews lately that I don't want to read them anymore (althou, I did read this one). Maybe partly they want to keep the hype up, and give the fans something while they wait.

Looks like a heat effect to me. If it was motion blur, you'd see it on more than just the muzzle of the weapon. The guy in that image running at the camera for example.

I played as Spy before it was cool. Honestly though, a cardbord cutout face and fake name, I vote Spy as most improved.

well we all know what mod makers need to do, and thats release asap.. cause when this hits no mods will be played anymore .. DAMN YOU VALVE!

I never liked TF at all really, and I used to only care about Portal and EP2 in this box, but these last few previews along with the "Meet the Heavy" have really turned it around. I'm actually really looking forward to this!

I wish they would show the Pyro's flame, I won't believe it looks as awesome as it did in that first trailer until I see it for myself.

Sounds sweet but kill cam? That might be a pain in the ass for a Sniper, as it could reveal your position.

EDIT: "the Spy can assume the identity of the opponent and will even have a mock user name to help fool the other side". I wonder where that name will come from? Cause if that's from a predefined user name list, we will memorise them after some time.

It is probably the same as TFC where it takes the name of whoever is playing the class you are disguised as on the other team.

I hope the Spy doesn't dominate the game, it sounds a very powerful class, that no doubt everyone will want to play most.

Hopefully there will be limits per a team.

If everyone's a Spy, nobody's protecting the flag, and everyone's got next to no health or firepower. Stupid people may all play as the Spy, but their team will never win.

Coming later tonight!

An exclusive look at the three major components of Orange Box. Includes never-before-seen footage of Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.

Honestly I think that a Spy will never dominate. In TFC I'd usually only play him on a whim, primarily because I knew I would probably get no kills and spend a couple minutes sneaking around. They didn't make him better, they just put him on the same level as the other classes.

Twas okay, still no ingame Pyro flame, they played the end of trailer one twice as if to rub my face in it.

Aaargh, the link refuses to cooperate. Somebody nice upload it to youtube, kthxbye?
