thats a nice computer are you sure there is no gain from 9800 to 9800xt i read about it and looked at graphs befor purchasing

its better but not by much. while the xt is about .2% faster than the pro, the x800 pro is 2 times faster than the 9800 pro.

and finaly i just upgraded my 9800 pro to 9800XT 256-256mb i hope i did the right thing i wasnt going to buy the x800 not yet at least.

I don't seem to have a problem with HL2, all my mates seem to know what it is.

Your upgrade will not give you noticeable difference in performance, you should have saved your money to get a better upgrade (9800 pro will have no problem running HL2)

Now I've got a fecking problem, I've got a crappy GeForce 4 MX 440 (It doesn't even run Ghost Master at a reasonable frame rate, was thinking of burning all MX Technology). Was thinking of upgrading to a HighTech Radeon 9800 256mb DDR, that will be a massive leap, considering it will be able to have full pixel shading
