Im about to enter ravenholm

Hey all i was just playing half life and got the gravity gun and met dog and im just at the part where dog is holding up the door for me to enter ravenholm and its night time right now and evryone is in bed. So i realy want to know if its actually as scary as people say it is?

Ravenholm isn't what I would call scary, But it atmosphere was enjoyable. It reminded me of Dawn of the Dead. I just watched that movie again and realized that it's nothing but a gore-fest with a bad ending. Resident Evil was my favorite zombie movie. RE:2 is crap. (Off-topic on movies but hey)

But, yeah, I found Ravenholm scarier than a particular supposed horror game *COUGH* *COUGH* *COUGHDOOM *COUGH *COUGH*THR-THR-THREEECOUGH* woah, nasty cough there, I'll have to get some medicine for that. But it wasn't scary, persay. Although I'm not one to find games that scary. Only one I can think of that was actually scary would have to be The Cradle from Thief 3: Deadly Shadows. Although I've never played SS2.

wow that was fun it was a bit scary the atmosphere is very disturbing but i stopped at the bit where it loads and u go out a door and those jumping things are jumping accross the roof in the background then one runs at you that just scared the crap outa me do u know how much further i have to go?

The only thing scarey about ravenholm is the guys with all be black head crabs all over them creeped me out first time I saw one. But besides that the best part was crushing stuff with the cars, if you played it through you know what I mean.

It's scarier if you play it on hard without quicksaving at all. Moreso later in the game, though. I never actually hid from the combine the first time through

I recieved HL2 for Christmas and right now I just began the sandlot chapter (I think thats what its called), I entered Ravenholm last night and, I have to admit - without shame, I turned it off and finished it earlier today. Yes I didn't want to play it in the dark
