I'm dying for some ep3 media!

Psh. Obviously a shoop. That MP7 has only one barrel.

Since when does the ocean lie in the midst of a mountain range.

Me too, in the mean time, feast your eyes on these random hl2 imagery..

The proportions are really weird in that thing. Good though.

Perhaps you should try masturbating to old Episode 2 screenshots. I hear it passes the time quite well.

There's always that one poor resolution magazine scan of a bad piece of concept art that nobody can find. Why they haven't bothered just releasing that image in say a steam news update or random interview I will never know.

They could sure as hell hurry up with all the TF2 things they've been mentioning though (Sniper & Pyro vids, Medic achievements, new maps. Its the holidays for crying out loud and all I get is a whooping in dustbowl every time I play it as the one helpful person on the team as a medic/engineer when nobody else can be arsed switching from sniper).

I am not too bothered right now, because of several reasons....

1. We have pretty much no idea about the events that will happen in Episode 3

2. We have no idea what the graphical improvements or AI improvements will be in Episode 3

3. We have no idea what new enemys we will be fighting in Episode 3

4. We havnt had a 'F*ck Yeh!!' trailer yet

5. I have Team Fortress 2 and my new MODS to keep me occupied

6. It will end the great saga that was HL2

7. We will have to wait around 6 years for another (probably)

8. No more Eli, meaning Alyx won't be the same when fighting or discussing things

9. Episode 2 was good enough and can be replayed many times without getting boring

So you don't want any media because they haven't released any media and have no idea what's gonna happen (in addition to the not being bored like some of us). Fair enough.

I tend to take total media blackouts as something extraordinary on the horizon, which gets me even more hyped. I mean, there's still the mysterious Episode Four that hasn't been brought up in ages, all the TF2 content that's been mentioned over the past 2 months, and Episode Two did raise so many questions that I am overeager to see even a scrap of media for Episode Three just to get a better idea of what's gonna happen.

Not fully true, we have an idea that we get to kick some advisor asses... thingys

You'll never make me leave, I'm like g-man, I show up at unsettling times!

Missster... Saaamon.....

There is that one picture in that old PCgamer issue. Oggle at it.

Also, don't you have some boxes to hide behind, hot?

I think I'm happier without any Ep3 media.
Freak :p

Am I the only (other) person who's dying for some media? Even the threads here have dried up to meaningless conversation about meaningless details, fantasy themes, and trying to decipher things that are at this stage simply undecipherable. There's always been a level of this, but the dam seems to be at a record low.

I'm not dieing...

So there...

I'm dying via getting on with my life and playing old C&C games.

I love Red Alert.

Well, I love TF2...which is better...

So there :(

I am dying to use another large machine gun,but this time, mounted in the chopper

On the contrary, it is smart for a game developing company to keep their mouths shut for a while. If they have a completely open lid all of the time, people find out too much about the game and find the buy less worth it. Valve had gone the most media centric than they ever had with Episode Two, and I don't think they will take a step down from that. So we'll see more in time. But it is smart to keep a lid on things for a while so you want to know more and more about the game. But the only way that is possible is through actually playing the game. It's a nice loophole that makes a game even better.

And for whoever stated we won't see Episode Three for another six years, not true. Episodic content really does work with Valve, not as much as Telltale games does, but we do happen to see Half-Life games much quicker. The time in between Episode One and Two was a year and five months, and they've delivered three new games in that time, all of which are high quality with new additions and have progressed the game world in one way or another. We may see a Portal 2, but I cannot think of much else coming out with Episode Three besides Portal 2. And while Valve may still be working on early concepts and designs with Episode Three and building on current content in Team Fortress 2, I bet we will see Episode Three within the next three years, maybe less.

Oh by the way, I'm Justincase3, the one people go to when everyone else fails them.

Episode 3 will be out late next year if not 2009, but HL3 will be in low level development by then...

I wonder if we're hauling resistance members with us this time?

I've said in another thread, but I think it's good Valve isn't releasing any media until it's near completion. It makes it more of a suprise, and I'll be blown away more.

Oh and Justincase, your from filefront right? Welcome to halflife.net! It's safer here! :p

I think EP2 car preview was good. I was nice driving without revealing plot.
For EP3 I could be some shots of Borealis, flying Advisors and some fauna of Arctic :D That is enough for me :D
