I'm feeling very boned here

Homer, stop complaining AND DON'T BUY SILVER!

If you don't want the stuff, DON'T FRICKEN BUY IT!
That's why there is more than one package!

It's just 10 bucks extra. You just have a sensitive butt.

Just get the bronze version. Chances are, you'll be able to purchase individual titles later on.

In any case, how much would they charge for DoD:S, then? 5 bucks? Wow, you'd save 5 bucks.

I know there are already a few threads on the hl2 steam prices, but I have a very specific objection.
[snip]

Does anyone else feel a tingling sensation in their assholes when they look at this? I'm going to be forced to pay for 5 games I dont want just to get my hands on dod:s, that is just not cool.

Last Friday I had the misfortune of being subjected to a barium enema. That's what it probably feels like to be boned. The Steam pricing, on the other hand, is a minor inconvenience relative to what I was subjected to.

It wasn't easy, I tell you. Nothing constitutes violation moreso than: taking 3 different laxatives in 2 hours; followed by 18 hours of sheer agony while that which was once INSIDE goes OUTSIDE; ending with 45 minutes of getting a tube with an inflatable ball on the end of it crammed up my tuckus and being told to assume various uncomfortable positions.

When the radiologist entered the room and introduced himself, I shared my belief that I was only a piece of ass as far as he was concerned. He didn't find that humorous. I think the comment made the procedure worse.

Any discomfort waiting for HL2 to be released is eclipsed by that experience.

:hmph:

all of you telling me to just not buy silver miss the goddamn point. I want dod, and I dont want to buy all the games I already have. clean out your freakin eyes and read what I wrote.

AND. if you jackasses would just read what I said, I decided on bronse pages ago.

and shrink, that was no radiologist, it was gabe in a labcoat.

So what is wrong with Valve throwing in their entire back catalog basically for free? Last time I checked the original hl retailed for about 20 bucks.

Well, he was eating a twinkie and drinking a Dr. Pepper so it very well may have been him. He also mumbled something about entering my test chamber.... :O

whats wrong with valve throwing the entire back catalouge in is its NOT for free. its a part of a package they chage 60 bucks for.

and ONCE AGAIN. I decided to get bronse and buy dod when it comes out!

10 bucks more from the bronze package, big whoop, just consider it 5 bucks for hl:s and 5 for dod:s and call it even.

So if they didn't include it, it wouldn't be an issue. Yep that makes sense.
