I find it hard to believe that HL2 will be better than HL1! I have many expectations for Hl2, now because all of the time waiting for the release... And this gets me to thinking... Vivendi should release it now, before people gets more frustrated :flame:

A) The Game hasn't gone gold.
B) They won't actually have made any copies yet to sell.

Its quite simple really...
When Vivendi has finished checking the RC, the game goes gold.
Then all the happy factory machines press and press and press merry copies of HL2 for all the smiling boys and girls to play.

If the girls and boys can wait 3 weeks so that every happy boy and girl on the planet can get the game at the same time (mother said to play fair) then it will be good times for all!

I believe that HL² will be better that HL. With the new technology Valve can do much of the things that they wanted to do with HL, but couldn't.
Personally I think it will be better story wise too, as AI and characters are more developed and there are new ways of mediating the story.

I have no doubt that HL2 will be far,far superior to HL1. The real question is, will it have as much of an impact?

It's my belief that not many FPSs have come as close to Deus Ex and Half-Life. Half-Life was great, even today it's still a really good game.

Now I realise that is actually only one drawback, but I thought it was such a big one, it was worth mentioning twice.
