Have you ever played a game just because its fun, and then someguy says that you are a noob just because he is alittle better than you. I get sick of these stupid morons, thinking they are the best just because they win easily, it only means that they have played alot more and maybe play more seriously but still its not right to call someone noob because he isnt as good as you. If you win you should not call your opponent a noob, you should be glad you won and be polite. Not like 80% of all gamers, telling the looser he is a noob.
I just played some JK2 for fun and there was this guy, first i won really alot. I did not say he was noob because im not a moron like them. Then he said " noob im just playing with you" and he owned me totally, after every win he said " noob ". Gahh i just hate this stuff :bonce:

As for me, I never call people anything because I always got killed if I chat. :| (exception : spectator mode)
 
You should have said this:

"Look, i'm sorry you are angry that your only talent is being good at computer games, but there's no need to take it out on me."

I always own everybody in NS CO, but I know what's it's like to start out, so I'm never mean to anyone. If someone else is mean to me though, I let them win for a little while and then administer the smackdown! :thumbs: And I don't even say anything, until the very last when my team wins, I proclaim a very solemn and very truthful "owned."

They do it to get reactions like this. You just gotta shrug it off and move on. You gotta make em think you it's no big deal to you, and that you could really care less how bad you are or how good they are, which makes their whole reason for bragging seem moot.

The best revenge in any given situation is always giving people the opposite reaction of what they expect.
 
I played against ComradeBadger in hl2dm yesterday night, and he totally owned me and the thing is that i underestimated him. But he is a good guy and polite, he never told me i was noob or anything similar, he just said "n1" each time i killed him :>

what server? is there a server where peeps from here play regurly? other than the bff3 1?
 
I'm afraid that I might of called Osama Bin Laden a noob, when he was on a CS:S server
 
I think it comes down to what is a "noob" my definition is someone like "albert_n00by"

Just morons, not people who are new to games.

I avoid online games for this very reason. Public MP servers are the cesspools of society.

is there a server you all go on? on hl2dm.. am i missing out on something ;( lol..

No one can beat t3h b4dg3r! he owns everyone, including me :(

Anyway, I tend to help newer players instead of insulting them... I still own them, but I'm not nasty about it.
HOWEVER: I do get angry and call people noobs when they (wrongly) think they can own me. I don't bitch on about it, but I just say "Bring it nub ;)" and then own them. If they kill me, I say "wow nice shot!" non-sarcastically...

And then there's the clan, who are noobish enough that I can call them that ;)
 
I hate people like that. Some people just find the lamest exploits in a game they possibly can and use them to their advantage as much as possible all while being a dick.

When I'm kicking ass on the other hand either I say nothing or if the player is nice I'll help him out by giving him tips. It's no fun just owning someone that's not even in your league. I'd rather play good competitive games where I may lose sometimes rather that just owning crappy players.

I only let the shit-talking fly when the other player starts it. Same goes for lame tactics or tactics that I try to avoid (sword, rocket launcher in Halo 2 - stuff like that). I'd prefer to have an even battlefield.
 
If your pwning someone that's just flat out disrespectful, like pulling out the non-stop hacker accusations, then they deserve to be called a noob all day long. Or unintentional TKers. They've just gotta be made fun of until they get it through their heads that you don't shoot every damn thing that moves when you come around a corner.

I don't like hl2dm, there is no higher goal. If you rescue Hossies in CS, then you are happy and proud that you were able to do the unthinkable.

teamdeathmatch can be class - i rarely play deathmatch - the concept is too weird (kill everything that moves)
 
Yeah, I enjoy team / co-op oriented games than pure DM arena.
