im lagging...

hey i have a 2ghz, 512 ram and a 9600pro have with all settings on low on 800x600 its still lagging...(only when i die but still, and one 32/32 servers)

anyone know whats wrong or is it just or bad hardware?

What is your ping? What is your FPS. Chances are if your ping is high, it isn't your hardware, it is your connection to the server.

open console and type "net_graph 3" to view loss and choke...watch it when in fire fights.

as for the others just type them in console and you should see values for them

my ping is low 30-70....

fps goes from 15 - to a max of 110 if itd totaly black...avagrage about 20-30...

newest drivers - dunno... i cant find driver updates to radeon card P)

choke? 0-10 (mostly 0-5)
loss? 0

Skaff deg Drivercleaner (søk på google)
Avinstallere tidligere drivere (legg til / fjern programmer)
Restart maskinen
Start Drivercleaner og velg Wizard, velg alt som har med ATI å gjøre og velg "Clean". Dette fjerner alt av gammelt grums.
Start maskinen på nytt
Installer de nye driverne.

Hvis du gjør dette og problemet fortsatt er der, så kan du ihvertfall utelukke at skjermkort driverne lager trøbbel.

Hirr, hva er dealen med:

cl_cmdrate?
Var en kamerat her og satte de til noe annet enn default(noe han mente var bedre, og bruker selv). Etter det har jeg opplevd smått lagg når jeg løper og spesielt i spectator mode.. pingen ligger nede på 10-20, 0 loss, 0 choke, fortsatt lagg. syns det er rart når latency til server er på rundt 15, og jeg har en 10 mbit linje med 1-3 ms til NIX. Er det noe bug i cs:s, eller hva skjer?

The constant "lag" og "jerking" some people are experiencing is usually caused by the cl_smooth command. Like zer0Kewl said: type cl_smooth 0 in your console ..

the oficial ones suck they dont got the memory fix
wich improves a lot performance and iq

just only install the drivers and download ccc seperatly

i recommed to use the beta's wich has a memory fix
also is based on 4.11
and catelyst a.i. is present in the drivers

so you can set low and high in ccc
or with ati tray tools wich has nice way to force refresh ingame
and also can set the a.i.

btw mem fix is only for 256 mb cards

you can still notice some performance improvements
but you can see that for your self offcourse ^^
