I'm Stuck

In room with many barrels with opening high on far wall. Stacked barrels to get into opening, appears to be ducting made of metal, dead ends, look up.. tunnel goes up high, but can't climb up. Any tip or clue how to proceed? Can climb down ladder into room of water, with large pipe opening.. but even after throwing barrels down.. can't seem to climb up on one to jump up high enough to get in the pipe.

Thanks for any help, anyone can offer.

What you want to do, is climb the ladder, go to the entrance of the vent, but go past, and jump down onto the higher edge. Go in the next room and use the pipes to edge down slowly.
You'll eventually see a pipe with a valve on it. Tun that, then return ot the other room. Go into the lower seciton and swim on out.

ellimanest is spot on, do exactly that. Go and find that valve, many people think it is a barrel stacking puzzle but its not!

I used the crow-bar on the red-eyed flying beast.. to save ammo.

I doubt that a room like this would get past Valve testing now. The player actually has to think their way out of it.

It definitely wouldn't now, but that's because of the massive amounts of manhacks. Everyone hates manhacks.
