im sorry i ment charging handle, and why wouldnt you follow a mod that has proper animation?
 
yeah acctually english is the only language i know, any ways i didnt come here for a lecture about english i came here for crits and comments on my model.
 
What program are you using to model this stuff? And WHERE IN THE HELL did you learn to model like that???
 
i use trial version of 3ds max 6, and ive self taught my self how to model for over a year now.
 
like i told john last night, looks cool. Can't wait to see some of them skinned! :) And ductonius no need for that was there? :p
 
It looks alright. Some of the peace of the weapon don't seem to flow together as metal (Geometery) Its quite nice though.

Ah, something different!

Well, can you tell us what Galil it is? ARM, SAR, and so on. I'd say it's an ARM?

It seems a bit unproportional... did you have a reference pic?
 
youve payed a lot of attention to the stock area, and the side of the gun you wont see in-game ( unless you're left handed ), which doesnt really make sense. i think you need to lower the number of sides on the cyclinders making up the stock. nice detail on the sights, and generally...nice :p

PS. Smawg, its called tutorials , patience and practice ( and in that order ). and id also like to knwo what duc has against animating the charging handle ?? :dozey:
 
I like all these gun models. :).But I never get to see them ready for putting into the mod though. with the backfacing deleted, and shots of the model from the players perspective in different hold positions , + mapped .

A nicely detailed map should sort that out.
 
looks nice, although AFAIK, the little thing between the trigger and the magazine should be flush with the bottom of the gun.

no, but ran in my earlier modeling life did help me out for the basics of the galil and the ak.
 
Looks very good, nothing out of the ordinary or awkward. Though it frankly doesn't stand out either detail-wise, props to Iron-sight. 8.5/10.
