20,000 latinos marched in Phoenix today.

Something needs to be done about illegal immigration, but I'm against this. This demonizes illegal immigrants, when most are just families and regular folks. It would make being here without visa a FELONY. Far too much.

What needs to be done is better border security and better work programs, with cooperation from MEXICO to help stop the problem.

These people aren't felons though.

Immigration needs to come at a certain rate. Right now with the illegal situation it's like opening the floodgates. Too many coming in too fast just recreates the problems experienced in Mexico economics wise. Hence the reason needing to wait to come in.

Illegal immigration is quite blatantly a dreadful thing. I must stress that I'm flat out against people who say that immigration is oh-so dreadful, because it quite clearly isn't. But illegal immigration only opens up awful problems for them, not solutions.

My family came to America legally, went through the long lines and processes. Illegal immigrants, in my view, spit their faces and crap on all their hard work.

Yeah, but it's not as easy as that - I can understand their desperation to get out. Often they risk life and limb to get where they want to, so impatience isn't really part of the equation. I do empathise with their mindset, I just think it ends up being properly shit for the illegal immigrants themselves. Thus a control must be put on. Or we weasel out the bestards who exploit and bring in these immigrants and send them to jail for a very very very long time indeed.
