Does anyone happen to know a good netstore where I can import an American(NTSC) TV, preferarly if there's some "special" one that has offers like free shipping, I've seen a few but forgotten their names, thanks for any answers.:)

Question: What sort of electrical system does Sweden have? 'cos you might need a transformer of some sort.

Not much. I don't know what Yank power cables look like. You might need to know the frequency of the AC current, the peak voltage and the amperage too, I dunno. I think the US is 220 volts at 50 Hz. Or maybe it's 110 volts at 60Hz. I need to look it up.

I am assuming that you have a pal TV currentley and something you want to use/watch in ntsc format? You should find most modern TVs do both, so take a trip to your local TV shop and ask. Failing that, you can pick up one of these (Top one) for 72 euros.

If you have a reason why you must have an american made ntsc TV, firstly, your power rating is 230v, and the Americans are on 110v, so you will need an inverter as well as an adaptor. As to finding someone that sells internationally, that will be tricky. As there is little market for it, don't expect many retailers to be set up to ship internationally. But then, I can't see any reason to need an American TV specifically.

Well yeah, I'm using a modified PS2/XB for on my European tv, you can see the screen but some of it doesn't fit onto the entire screen, dueto the fact that NTSC has "larger" ones, so I need one where I can see the entire "game" preferarly :) Really annoying in some games where you can't say, see the hud fully.

Well, My Aussie TV has both PAL and NTSC screen modes, so maybe yours does too. Have you checked for a "screen mode" button on your remote?

Oh, and since you ask: "If you see me spelling something incorrectly or using incorrect grammar, please say so, I'm trying to improve my English further. Thanks! ;)" would be better, I reckon.

Thanks for the correction mate :) No NTSC screen mode on my tv it seems tho :(

I'm not sure about or electrical system but yeah I'm pretty sure I'll need an transformer.

http://147.14.243.142/item_img/se/large/l010895.jpg that's pretty much how our powercables look here tho, if that helps.

Wow, that second device there looks so foreign from our own. The first one doesn't however, we have electrical items that look just like that.

Mate, it' just one cord :) The entire one didn't fit into the picture it seems lol, so it's just one transformers and yeah, I noticed they pretty much look alike :)

The one with the two prongs is the one that looks foreign to me. The principles are similiar I guess, though.

It's one end of the cord, the one that plugs into the console..:p The other one is the one you plug into the electric hole.

Ohhh. I see. Does the other end look like our version? Or very similiar?

American power cords look shitty :( The ones here in Finland (and Sweden and presumably others) rock! :p

Have you seen British and South African plugs?! They're the most crazy massive triangular things I've ever seen. Try pulling one of those under furniture or otherwise I guarantee it will get stuck on anything it possibly can!

British plugs are cool, they'd never fall out of the wall.
They are also used in hong kong as well as south africa, and most of the commonwealth I think.

I remember I was in the US, and the plug was rubbish, the adaptor part was too heavy and it kept falling out of the wall.

BTW do US plugs even have an earth connection? I'm sure there's only 2 prongs.
The swedish one looks like a shaver plug.

The grounding connection is the 'third' prong you saw in the images posted by whoever posted them. There's the kind that doesn't have one, its just two prongs, then there's one thats in a triangular configuration with the two prongs, then one round fatter prong which is the grounding prong.
