In-game options Screwed up/ LOTR

I am in the options menu and all the options once i click on them they automatically switch to the left and flips through all the settings i cant choose any mouse is going crazy???.

Putting a rodent on the pages of an open book usually results in you being unable to control the mouse's movements. I'd suggest perhaps fashioning a small leash or, failing that, using food incentives to direct it.
