I really can't think but 1 game that I have from them. So I'm not too sad. Kinda retarded, though.

And every one was saying that it was PC gaming that was dieing, ha. Atleast the PC is still supported, **** the shitty PS3.

Oh, how I knew this would appear in the first page.

UH OH, IT'S SHITTY BECAUSE...well....I JUST DON'T LIKE IT!

Yay for having a PC, XB360 and PS3, thus being able to not give a shit.

If a PS3 price cut comes from this, I've no complaints. It's been long coming, for gaming, its just hard to justify buying a PS3 when the Xbox360 has so many great games and is a lot cheaper.

I might even consider buying a PS3 if the price is right!

PS3 ports are shit, kudos to Activision for saying something about the loathsome and horrendously cumbersome process it is to put a multi-platform game on the Playstation 3. Sony does need to do something about this and it might as well be the man behind the biggest money publisher of our generation.

Think of all the miserable half-assed ports, it's impossible to blame them all on Laziness:

Fallout 3, Ghostbusters, Orange Box, etc

And when developers do actually spend the money to make a quality PS3 port, they end up at a net loss (see Activision's Sony fiscal reports as opposed to other platforms). Publishers and developers have every right to still be frustrated with Sony. It's still painstakingly evident that PS3 is the Russian Roulette of game development platforms--and no, the fact that they've secured some amazing exclusives and a decent free online service does not exempt them from this status. There's a reason why some of the most notable developers and publishers still half-ass or outright neglect this platform.

Well, I'm glad people putting out half-assed ports is definitely not their fault.

I think it's a good but bold move to make that kind of statement. Sony does need pressure to do a price cut at some point to get more mainstream adoption (I'm not saying like Wii but you know how the PS2 sold a ton more once it hit below a price point).

But at the same time what are they going to do if Sony doesn't do a price cut? Do exactly as they say and drop new PS3 game production? Probably would be bad for all.

PS3 has n--

nah, I'm not feeling it in this thread. Nobody cares.

You do.

I can see it in your eyes.

They gleam with the love and compassion that a caring soul would.

YOU'RE NOT DARKSIDE!

One would think that Activision have to realize that Sony will do exactly what they want exactly when they want. They have not done differently in the past. The notion that this statement might be taken seriously by anyone in the gaming public or press is ludicrous in the extreme.

I will seriously laugh if Sony submits.

Kotick went on to say that his company forked out $500 million to Sony in royalties and other goods back in 2008, which he said “probably still worked out at 400 percent of the profit they made”.

Wait, is this saying that 500 million is 400 percent of what they actually made off their games on the ps3?

Hurray for Activision!!! The savior of gaming! Hell, this is so awesome, I think I'll just mail them some money directly instead of purchasing their product!

And every one was saying that it was PC gaming that was dieing, ha. Atleast the PC is still supported, **** the shitty PS3.

BTW, PC gaming hasn't died, nor was ever close to dying, it's merely a cycle that happens every console generation. By the end of this generation, I guarantee PC gaming sales will be at it's peak once again until the next-gen consoles are released, which then PC gaming will slump again.

It's a pattern I've noticed. It's like people get tired of all the current consoles on the market and start going PC until next-gen.

But if the price of both ps3 and psp do go down, then people will thank Activision.

Win/Win situation for Activision. Lose/Win situation for PS3 customers.

Another Company vs Sony? Sorry, I have to side with the other company on this one.

**** Sony. And **** the PS3.

The PS2 WAAAYYY into its lifecycle was still $129 for the longest time. Only recently did they FINALLY get it to the magical $99 pricepoint. I don't expect Sony to pay any heed to this and I don't expect many other devs to publicly release such BRASH and ultimately impotent statements.

It's activision for crying out loud they'll do something :|

I like Activision.
*runs away

*comes back
But only for CoD, I dislike Guitar Hero.
*runs away again
