I think EA should get that award.

Hah!
It's odd, cause now that I think about it, maybe they do. I mean, they own Maxis (Sims, Spore), they kinda own Crytek (Far Cry, Crysis), I think they own Lionhead (Don't call me on this one), and they kind of own Valve.

Which makes them a good company to work for, how?

And they don't "kinda own" Valve.

publishing for and being engaged in contract with a company does not mean they partially own it

I dunno, I don't think it does. I just read "one of the best companies in the US" in the thread title, so I was just thinking they dished out good games.

Yeah, but I couldn't remember the word "partnership" at the time (I go blank on words), so I just typed "kinda own".

Good games and good company are a different thing.
Every Blizzard Entertainment game on the Pc has been an INSANE success. They are rated very low in best companies to work for.

Of course it is, Blizzard is a slave factory :)

Indeed. The same reason I would rather work for WayForward than Sega.

They're one of the more talented companies as well (Insomniac, that is). I guess its true that happy employees make good employess.

Awesome stuff. Definitely a talented and creative company. Anyone else play Disruptor from Insomniac? That was a wicked game...
