Im trying to install a radeon X1550 on an older machine, and dont have the power cable it came with. I tried removing my floppy drive cable and using that but the machine wont boot. The rest wont reach my card. My question is can I simply unplug 1 from a floppy drive and use it or do they need to be interconnected?

I was looking at this but it didnt seem to help:

If you unplug your floppy drive, make sure to go into your bios menu first and select "None" under the floppy drive option. That way the computer does not check for a floppy drive at startup and the boot should go just fine without the floppy being plugged in.

Turns out the PSU is too weak to even run the card, bahhhh,,

thanks for the help
