I probably play too many video games, mostly because I work an odd schedule, so my free time is late at night or early in the morning.
 
I don't play too many videogames. I play them as much as I feel like I want. Anybody who tells me I play too much can go **** themselves. ;)
 
As a shareholder for Gamestop, I would like to think this is fact. ^^
 
I probably used to have a small addiction, mainly because I had so much free time though. Now I still have free time, but I don't play hardly as many games. It's weird, I think I just grew out of 'em.
 
Any game in which you can 'level up' or get better with time has the potential to be addictive, IMO. This applies to CS and most RPGs (incl. MMO).

But FPS and adventure games are rarely addictive, unless the story is that gripping.

But surely you lose money if people are addicted to them, since they'll be playing the same games over and over, vegetating in front of their machines and unable / unwilling to go to the shops to buy a different game?

Whereas healthy gamers are fickle and therefore play less but buy more.
